Tyre compounds - Softs (Q and 2 Races) and Hards (1 Race).

I can see the 2nd race being the most action packed. Gonna predict a Toyota win

There ought to be mention of the crowd being world leaders in gazebo and bivvy erection. Items which , despite having been a Croft regular since 1 litre F3 days, I have never seen the need to take to a race meeting.

CTRC race was just fabulous but TWO doses of Porsches is at least one too many and I'd far rather see F4.

Of the BTCC cars I enjoyed watching the Focuses most as they do seem to go sideways at the slighest excuse .

Power Maxed really seem to have that Astra working well. Shows there's some longevity in these cars if you're willing to really work at it. ATS looks really at home in the car/team which is nice to see too.

Having had to resort to using sports umbrellas at Oulton this year to protect against the sun as best as possible (as well as copious amounts of factor 50 sun lotion), my son and I have agreed that next year's annual foray we will be putting up a sun shelter. I do agree, however, that a gazebo is a step too far.

Great pole from Turkington. With Cammish and Tingram next, it should be a fascinating race.

Very random question, but what has been the biggest points deficit overcome to win the drivers title?

Not sure if they are the largest;

Shedden was 52 points behind at one point in 2016.
Sutton was 69 points behind at one point in 2017.

Pretty boring that race, wasn't it?
Quite curious what's behind Sutton's loss of pace. He seems to have been quite off it recently, even compared to Cammish.
Can see it being mostly Ingram v Hill for the title this year with Ash and Cammish outside chances.

Huff a safe bet for R2 win? Dealt with the hard tyre admirably in R1 but have to repeat again, really dislike the "two-class racing" that the hard and soft tyre creates.

Kinda missing the odd skirmish and a safety car to bunch the field up.

Close! Amazing overtake by Cook.

Ridiculous watching the leader just pull out the way and let three people by with a polite ‘thank you’ in return. Not that I ever expect them to get rid of the tyre options

As much as the fight for the win was entertaining, the hard vs soft tyre racing is nonsensical, has nothing to do with racing actually. Said it hundreds time before, the rules + hybrid make the cars close enough, with reversed grid races shaking up the order as well, we don't need tyre gimmicks.

Ingram obviously has to pay Chilton a few quid for that bit of help.

Hey, aren't you the one who's been providing links to videos of BTCC drivers punting off each other in the past sighing how great the racing was then as opposed to today's snoozefest of procession? Isn't firing others off why you're watching BTCC?

In all seriousness, looked more like a racing incident between Ash and Colin but we'll see what the stewards have to say about it.
