I despise Skaife as much as you and probably a lot of other people. What I described would be Holden marketing man's dream and ultimate fantasy. Plus that's what happened the last time "The Nose" won the bloody thing. Like I said I'd settle for any other Holden team winning, or even the second HRT car. But if that don't happen, I'd settle for the next best thing, a former Holden man in a Ford winning it. |

Having the second HRT car win would be good to see Go Seto!

I have to agree with GTR, Tander will be the primary man BUT it wouldn't surprise me to see Skaife do the shoot out lap, as he always does that well. With Tander starting, and finishing, and qualifying the car. Have the best man in the car at the end, and on present form, Garth is that man. I don't think Skaife has the form or the pace (anymore) to outsprint Winterbottom, Whincup or Lowndes, given the pace of those cars compared to the HRT car. He would be flat out gapping Rick... But we have all written off the 'snout' before and he has surprised us with his cunning and determination. He was practically handed the races in 01,02 and 05 just because he drove with his head. Let's hope the same doesnt happen this year.... |

Do you risk him putting it into the wall on Saturday. Seeing that its Tanders championship to win and lose you would hope that Tander is given the drive and can then push it as hard as he wants to go. |

Ego says that the snout must have a presence... Give him the glory run on the Saturday and let Garth do the job on Sunday.
If he bends it, oh well, he bends it... I dont think Garth would let him start after 2006...:-) |

i want the GT/MS combo to win but the CL/J dub combo and Frosty/Richo combo is going to be hard to top. outsiders would be #3 and #17.

2006 was the starters fault. It felt like the last car was coming out of forest elbow when skaife first got on the power |

It wasn't the first or last time the starter held the cars for too long (and outside the RULES), cooking clutches and ending someones race.
They do it all the time, to build excitement. The sound of 30 V8s revving their tits off is fantastic, granted, but they get a bit carried away with those red lights. D.R.T., I watched "Allan Moffat: Man and the Mountain" the other week, great documentary. You can see how much Bathurst means to him. Is it the same nowadays do you think? |

Dont be surprised if Scott gets replaced with Johnny Mac @ the mountain. Money talks, Big Dave John walks.

Maybe it's a good thing that Ambrose didn't come back to do Bathurst............

Personally I'd love a DJR win, but if the last 15 laps are like last years. I don't care who wins, just a bit of edge of the seat action would be nice. |

I think the the #888 J.Wincup/C.Lowndes would have to be favourites going into the 1000.

Is it likely that T.Kelly and Price will be paired together for Bathurst?

i don't think you can go past the form of #888. Frosty yes, but Richo S didn't do it for me on the weekend, didn't seem to have pace (no counting when the ark was sailing past). Dark Horse #18 if S Johnson picks up his game, or #1 if M Skaife picks up his
