Practice was live on Youtube. According a comment under one of the videos it should be still on Youtube for free. Hopefully this is correct. Really like the current cars. |

Qualifying session was free. I hope races are going to be there too. A new format for this year AFAIK - reversed grid with 2nd race starting almost after the 1st. maybe I've been lost in translations, but reversing is going to be held right behind a safety car (????).

God, those cars sound good! It's a shame DTM couldn't go with that ruleset.

Well, that was a lot of fun! I watched one or two races in Portuguese before, but for some reason they didn't really capture me. After watching this one in English, though, I think I'll be coming back for more.
Here are some observations: - the cars are absolutely mega: lots of power and not a lot of aero makes for some good racing. - with all those big name ex Indycar and F1 drivers there are many pilots European viewers can relate to. - attrition was pretty high; some of it through accidents, but some also mechanical - Toyota seemed to have a bit of a hard time today. I hope they can do better in the next races - might be a bit hard though as there seem to be a lot more Chevies out there. - I like the family friendly race duration and timeslot, though the race format is a bit gimmicky - I think I'd prefer one race of 45 minutes rather than two short ones. - the same goes for the pitstops; changing just one tire really seems a bit pointless. I am wondering, though, if it'll be worth it for teams further down the order to sacrifice their race 1 in order to have fresh tires for the second race. - at one point it was also mentioned that there is some version of fanboost - I don't really think the series needs that - and if they do, they need to do a better job at showing who is using it and when. Overall, though, I had a lot of fun with this and I think I'll be back on May 16. |

Well, at least they've shown it for free. Enjoyed racing a lot. After Australian Supercars go for TransAMish nonsense, it's last of powerful tourers. A format is a bit messy, but races are pretty good. I have no problems with Portuguese. I didn't like it when they've brought lots of soap operas on our TV in 90s, but for 2 years I've been looking into learning it because of these (and Endurance) races.

I prefer one long race with a proper pitstop.

Thread bump!
Rubens Barrichello won the 2022 championship with Toyota. The 50-year old finsihed with 8 and 10 points above Chevrolet rivals Daniel Serra and Gabriel Casagrande. Those are very manly tears https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM9aJU6XW-I |

The AUVO president Julio Maglione claims that the only missing requirement to confirm the El Pinar race is a Mercosur exception for the motorhomes to cross from Argentina through Uruguay to Brazil.

The first example of the new SUV-based stockcar for 2025 onwards has recently been presented. In addition to the Chevy, there will also be cars from Toyota and newcomers Mitsubishi. |

I think it's a great idea, as less car buyers are interested large sedans and hatchbacks.

Will that be the future direction for BTCC?
Honestly, (and surprisingly) the car looks pretty decent, previously had thought racing SUVs would look a lot more ridiculous. |
