flor should go into politics, as he seems incapable of looking at facts. Lotterer was in the car for purely economic reasons, Camathias is the faster (or should I say 'less slow') driver of the 2.

Not when its an equal test of young drivers in identical conditions and equipment, both giving it 110% knowing that a good result could set up their whole career.

well lotterer never drove a car which needs a driving style of a champcar, last think was a formula1 car with carbon brakes and low wight, while the swiss guy drove f3000, with steel brakes and high weight
why do you think lotterer is slower, i saw him in karting, formula bmw and german f3 an he was very fast all the time and i saw camathias in f3000 and he wasnt fast at all and why do you ignore lotterers race performance, he would have finished a lot better if he hadnĀ“t big problems in the pits twice |

for a first effort Lotterer did well - it would be good to see him get a full seasons racing in 2003

I say wait until these guys get a full season under their belt before you try and decide who is better. Some guys flourish in cars that are heavier or more touchy like Champ cars are. The main thing is that these guys do have talent, it's just a matter of helping that talent along. 21 year old drivers, regardless of the series they drive in are going to try and do too much and will be involved in more accidents taking foolish chances that an experienced driver wouldn't take. That being said, give these guys some seat time and see what happens before you critique them. You obviously don't get to this level, this young, unless you're a good racer with a promising upside. I'm excited about these new drivers. They're not old enough to take their foot off the gas yet. I think we'll see alot of wild action and a whole lot of overheated brakes this year. VIVA LA CHAMP CAR!
