Chris - of course you will be somewhere out in the sticks of the paddock, and you wouldn't expect anything else when you're one of the support races with other events (GTs, FPA) above you in the pecking order. What did you expect, the garages?

LOL would be nice. I don't mind being in the tree's near Dover and I half expected that but I just think they should have released times a little sooner. If you are an A1 team you will be there anyway but if you are like me and run a business or even work for a living a little more planning is needed. It was interesting to see that they have added Ginetta's to the bill. Maybe one of the most supported Championships around. They would be fun to drive on the GP. Maybe I should wait and see which has the better timetable!!!

Sold mine to Anglesey but would rent one. Long shot as if I was going I would race the FF1600, might be worth doing both!!

I can see it now:-

Why I won't do the FF1600 support races at the 2006 British GP

i) Can't have a Garage
ii) Roads will be busy
iii) Not got both my races at noon and 2pm on the Sunday

Etc etc

I assume this means you have a different view, which is fine.

Chris you always tell me you work hard, but - from the above - it looks like as you 'run a business' that you are admitting that you don't 'work for a living'

With Mark Grant losing an engine this weekend and John Miller looking at options how many drivers do we expect to see at the A1 GP round? I know only 10 people tested but some will come out just for the race. Phil Austin mentioned to me at the weekend that he had changed his mind and was not going to race as he can't plan due to no timetable.

I am also most likely to go to Croft now as I want to support my team mates in winning the championship and it would not make me much of a team player if I went to Brands although I would prefer to race at Brands.

Do we have any idea how many will be out at Brands?

Nope, but it had better be a list containing very few NW drivers.

Guess the grid will be the same as Sunday plus a few others from around the country including older cars and a few from over the water.

If the racing is as good as on Sunday I can't wait plus I'll have a new motor at last!

I think RayFF is right, there should be a reasonably good grid (by the way, who are you RayFF? ) I will be a spectator unfortunately due to there being a very large hole in the side of my engine, but will I be watching Pete rack up another deserved win? or will he be in Palmer Audi?

The Palmer Audi Autumn Series takes place on the weekend of November 4/5 and 11/12. Sadly this means Pete misses the WHT...

I don't know yet Chris. Guys examining a bit of piston that was pulled from the hole theorised that a bolt had failed. Certainly there was no mention or visible evidence of a snapped crank.

If anyone is thinking of doing the A1 GP round and has not been round the track before. Neil Patten has a track day booked on the Brands GP circuit on the 12th September and he can't go. The track day is currently full. It cost Neil £350 but best offer over £300 can take it. PM me if you are interested and I will pass on his mobile number (he doesn't do computers!).

It will not be much more than that anyway as it is only a 15 minute race

Curfew is 6.30pm so only 30 mins to play with.....

If the 3 irish guys do the Irish race instead of the A1 GP is could be a quiet race indeed at Brands.....

Dempsey is flying back!

It's only 3 cars must be a few historics and classics who want to have a crack at the GP track at a high profile meeting!

Hey if there's only 15 cars guess I'll come in the top 15!!
