We'll be attending with a group of around ten peeps. Last couple of years this venue is our seasons ending.
Really looking forward to see and hear that gorgious Ford GT1 again! It even outroars the vette's! Also the Nissan with it's crossplain V8 will be dearly anticipated but in the end,us dutch would ofcourse love to see the PeKaRacing 'vette of Hezemans/Kumpen win. |

So why did it get trounced by the Porsches over here? It (the 360) only ever had one ALMS win (Lime Rock 2003).

The Fia is not being unfair to porsche, I would even say they are beaing way to lenient... since 2007 porsche gt2 teams were allowed to run 30 kg lighter for no reason at all, after porsche openly cheated they were dq on only two race where they finished 2nd anyway.
The reason people think that the fia is helping ferrari is because porsche teams keep braking the rules and they keep getting punished for it, there is nothing wrong with that |

Well, if the FIA is locked into a performance balancing set-up by their own rules, that's their own fault.
And if the FIA took their own technical rules seriously, the 4.0-litre lump, and any results obtained with it, would have been universally thrown out beginning with that engine's first race. Since they CHOSE NOT to do that, and let it slide literally for a year, they need to let it go, because now it looks like blatant impropriety. Either enforce the rules fully and properly from the start, or turn the other cheek and keep your qualms to yourself. You made your bed; go on and lie in it. |

I notice in Nissan's press release for Zolder, they make this mention:
"To maximize their participation in this type of environment, the R35 model NISSAN GT-R GT1 has been outfitted with the latest aerodynamic upgrades, such as one of the latest aerodynamic wing devices, appearing on the rear decklid." I wonder, will the Nissan show up with swan necks? |

Exactly. And If it was such a big deal why did none of the other series do anything about it. Its FIA's built in close championship fixing, lets leave two races in the balance and see how the next few races go. Convinent they take and DQ Porsche in two basically random races, just enough to give Ferrari the lead. They wouldnt want to make it too obvious or anything... What makes the other races okay but not those two. And why allow the car to pass pre and post race testing for 4 races before hand before Porsche has a commanding lead and then OOPS!!! Looks like someone is not legal after all..... ****ing Cheaters. And not Porsche, the FIA. Its not like Porsche hid what they had. They were not switching engines out or changing things for the scrutineering. They had what they had and the Stewards OKAYED THEM 8 TIMES plus pre season. Then all of a sudden when they are winnning in dominate fashion then its magicall all of a sudden no longer okay. |

BS, Yes they did hide it, it was only openly known when a driver came to the pressa t portimao LMS, Do you realy except the fia or any series to actualy open up every engine before the race to see if it is proper, the race weekend would last for months, not even in Le mans do they do that. Porsche lied, openly and hid the fact that they were using the steal liners. Fia didnt let them, they jut found out at Oshersliaben, and implameted it on the cars they checked there, and at spa after porsche admited all their cars had them all were dq, and after that porsce aplied for a waiver, and was granted one by the fia and the other competitors |

Porsche has apparently finalized their line-up to try and beat AF Corse.
#58 Trackspeed - Sascha Maassen/David Ashburn #59 Trackspeed - Jorg Bergmeister/Chris Manerow #60 Prospeed - Marco Holzer/Richard Westbrook #61 Prospeed - Marc Lieb/Darryl O'Young #97 Brixia - Emmanuel Collard/Martin Ragginger No shared championship for Collard and Westbrook, they've split them up to try and guarentee that one can win it. |

Because if something happens to the #60, then neither of them wins. If you split them up and something happens to Westbrook in #60, then Collard could still win the championship in the #97.

More chance of winning the title for one of them.
EDIT: it also looks like Porsche want Collard to get the title as they have moved him to a car with no success ballast and left Westbrook in the #60 with all the Ballast. Last edited by NightStalk3r; 23 Oct 2009 at 19:18. |

Man, Barwell has some of the best paintjobs on that #72 Belgian GT Aston Martin. The dark gray GPC IP car, the white EL Systems car from the Spa 24 Hours, now this great Gulf livery!
