Interesting to see Kev Proctor is out in the Puma, the supercar entry is looking good and the BTRDA modifieds are well represented again which is good to see. Also good to see that Priddy has taken the Tigra into the MSA supermodifieds - no disrespect to the BTRDA modifieds but that Tigra was a step above them in terms of pace.

Says Turpin and Tapscott are racing on Rallycross Online, but can't see them on the entry list.

Fay Crook is taking details and passing them on for all marshals interested in this fantastic looking days motorsport. Contact info is in the marshals needed sub forum

Great entry list which will only add to the spectacle. I must admitt that I do not follow rallycross that closley but when I get the chance to marshal I jump at it.

Laurence Gibson has been mentioned in some of the pre-race blurb and he isn't on the entry list either - perhaps we'll see a revised entry list in the next day or two?

I think the marshals get the best view of anyone at Blyton. I reckon it's really good to be so close to the action on such a fast circuit, so yes, worth going down I'd say. Jukesy normally drives but he marshalled last time at Blyton and he seemed to have a good day out.

Enjoy!

Being a trainee will not matter they will pair you up with someone experienced.

In my humble opinion All RallyX meeting are worth a reasonable drive.
I'm working till 13:00 this sat then hour 1/2 drive to Blyton getting there just in time for the practice runs to finish.

When done at midnight it's a 2 hour drive down to Mallory, where I'll be sleeping in the car for an 8 start on. I must be mad

I must have even less sense

Im also heading down to Mallory on Sunday but was planning to stay for the party afterwards and set off early from Blyton in the morning

It is well worth a long trip. great action and close racing and you can just about see it all from whichever post you're on.

I'll be on Post 2

I watched it last night on tv and well done BRC and Motors tv as it was good coverage all through the classes

Well done to Kev Procter on his win and Pat was certainly going for it like a man posessed on the last few laps of the final.

Also Well done to Mad Mark for keeping Proc at bay in one of the earlier races when he punted the back of the Xsara and the bumper was rubbing on the tyre.
That colour scheme on Mark's car is well nice
Imagine it on a C4 or a DS3 in the future :-)

Having just got back from Blyton, I have say what a brilliant meeting. All credit to Stuart Ranby and all the organisers, can't have been easy trying to sort where to but lights etc. I hope this becomes (at least) an annual event.

Top marks Rallycross, pat on the back to all, well done organisers, competitors, mechanics & marshalls must have looked superb on the tele, no grumbles apart from a couple of very minor niggles;ie another circuit PA system decides to give up the ghost on the big night and our coach drive couldn't find the place very well, perhaps a couple of yellow direction signs next time, otherwise than that it was my first visit to Blyton Rallycross Track and enjoyed every minute.

Got back at 1:20am this morning from a great meeting. Only my second rallycross event after mallory last season. Good action all afternoon, close racing and a couple of little offs.

Only a couple of things not so good.............

PA System went down

Needed more lights down by the gravel section near the start

too much dust early on, once 1 car had gone past that was it you couldnt see anyone else

But other than that a great advert for british rallycross. Roll on Mallory Park

had a great day/night on post 6, the speed of the cars as they went past us was amazing. The track seemed to hold up better this time than my first visit to Blyton last year. A great event the only down side for me was the large bumps at the edge of the track where the RX buggy chicane is, they unfortunately claimed Leon Haslam, launching him in to a high speed, hi impact roll, thankfully he was ok apart form being a little shaken and rattled by it.

Looking forward to another visit to Blyton for more Rally cross in the near future.

Didnt notice the loss of PA as down the back straight we couldnt hear any all day.

Dear me Chunder if you had only gone and made a cup of coffee during the fireworks display you would have come back to some firecrackers of A finals and a foot to the floor Supercar final, its live tele and organisers have to fit in with commercial breaks etc so things like this are planned into the event for spectators but sometimes the best TV timing plans can go a little out with dragging carnage off the circuit.
Perhaps try edited highlights next time, or better still try a visit trackside, hope you will still watch rallycross.

The racing was cracking.

The commentary was truly horrific. I do not understand why Barry Lee is still in their employ.

Really wish I had been there, but watching it live on the telly is the next best thing.
