To be fair, there are more Chinese people to scatter in the first instance...

Oh okay, maybe my random guess wasn't so untrue after all... Damn shame to be honest. Why they let Toyota turn up, I do not know.

If they refused Toyota (especially) or any other Japanese team in the WEC, I can imagine some consequences. They'd be foolish to do so.

You wonder if they'd do the same thing to F1.

Nope.

That would be not the first time that political debates and decisions are not rational-minded and getting out of control...

We will have to see how this plays out, but if they are denying Japanese visas for political reasons I can't imagine a Chinese race being on the schedule next year.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. Perhaps not so severe as to cancel their round. But that may happen.

Didn't they once cancel a Chinese round of IndyCar because it interfered with a wine festival?

I'd cancel it . Atheletes shouldnt have to answer for the decisions of a few mad politicians .
Give it to India or Malaysia instead , and let the Chinese think about it then .

If they replaced China, it should go to another round in Japan, say Autopolis or Suzuka.

You caught it! That'd really rub it in!

Looking at http://www.audi.com/com/brand/en/aud.../shanghai.html it seems the 'braking zones' are followed by slow speed (under 120kmh) corners favoring Toyota's instant hybrid release.
