Gronholm has actually retired now. Not surprising.

Not much point trundling round 13 minutes down I suppose...
...we could see a Skoda in the points at this rate - that would be nice. Might just help persuade them that 2004 is just a break, not a departure from rallying. |

Yes, although I think it would be nice if we could have a situation like previous years where Skoda could go for class wins. It sjust isn't like that now though is it?

Martin out!!!
Markko Martin is the latest top runner to drop out of Rally GB. The Ford star pulled out of the event on the road section heading to SS4, after the team battled to fix an engine problem at the previous service halt. Grunt |

"Grunt" indeed! Welcome!
At this rate, Jimmy McRae 'll finish in the points, never mind the Skodas... |

Solberg lost the rear bumper on his Impreza during the stage, but still managed to be three seconds faster than Loeb.

It seems he is trying. Perhaps he wants to build up a lead in case both remianing Peugeots go out and Loeb can try again.
The gap to third is amazing! The two world champion challengers are the class of the field! |

Team orders or not, Loeb hasn't given up yet - he's 1.6 second faster than Solberg on SS6!

As the man himself said, "thats bull****!" Best quote of the day!! Nothing to stop Loeb from agreeing to slow down and not actually slowing at all? Oh and the police told Gronholm he wasn't going anywhere!!! |

Solberg grabs another 6s on SS10...
I remember reading an article about either Makinen or McRae where it recounted a story about how they were chatting at a party this year and realised that they hadn't had a battle with each other for ages. They both hoped it would happen before they retired. Well this could be it... Last edited by Adam43; 8 Nov 2003 at 11:28. |

It really was the only fair thing to do with regards to Marcus being told he was not to drive on the road section...........
Remember they did the same to Tommi !!! |
