Congratulations when is the wedding.
Easter would have to be the worst time for this race. Most people would be going away for the four days and would not want to come to Goulburn for that long. |

9000..............
That means i must have been counted 3 times with everyone else. We sat on the hill on sunday in the 1/2 hour break before the Konica cars came out and did a rough crowd count on the hill and looked across at the spectator mound near the pits and it was not full like last year. At a rough guess 3000 to 4000 would be the max. BTW gmontrack, When are the rules for improved production going to be properly enforced so that the cars that are legal actully have a chance of winning. Since when are things like spare wheel wells alowed to be removed or modified to allow roll cages to go thru them. |

Kudos Elephino! Is she one of the 'blonde' girls from the Casino in Melbourne?

Not sure what happened about this one - but one driver in the Konica's was to be charged on Saturday (well they said they were going to) for having an extra item in the boot of the car during qualifying.....
Get this - the 'extra item' was a full container of fuel! |

Ouch! I'd hate to see them in an enduro with the garden hose rigged up to the 44 gallon drum, refueling the car, with a bucket of water standing by in case there were any dramas...

The flaggies called in that a car was leaking fuel from near the back wheel and when the car came in they found a drum in the boot!
Sounds a bit like when I qualified at Amaroo with the wets in the boot! Last edited by Morris 1100; 1 Apr 2002 at 11:38. |

Was there anything else in the boot Morris. It must have been a pretty awful pit crew

They were the worst pit crew you could ever find!
One bloke was a Holden Mechanic and the other was a Diesel Fitter off the railways and they were hopeless! |

Didn't you have a chicken farmer and a fireworks salesman on your crew.

Dont worry morris, you are not the only one. I was at private practice at Oran park and wondered why the car was handling baddly. Lots of over steer. The reason... 2 tyres and a trolley jack in the boot

I know what you mean I had this bloke helping at a HQ race at Wakefield Park. He thought he was Alan Wilkie and said it's going to rain we will go out on wets. So out we go on wets and low and behold it didn't rain. Morris did you have Cornel Sanduers on your crew. SABOTAGE

mtpanorama, my problem was that the car handled better with the wets in the boot!
There was a wet HQ race at Indy and one guy decided he needed ballast in the boot so in went the wets and an esky in the middle to stop the wets sliding around.........guess which car got hit in the boot and sent the contents down the track.......guess which team had no beer to celebrate with. |

Yeah no way was there 9,000 people there...I was at Wakefield Park for the Konicas and for PROCAR last year and I think there were more people at last years Konicas. PROCAR left them both for dead - I was surprised at the turn out for that event.

Morris, he complains about the air con all the time anyway.
Good to know I'm considered good company, but I'd say it was the other two people racetime was referring to. 9000 was the 3 day figure and by my reconning... Sunday - 3,000-3,5000 Saturday - 1,500-2,000 if you're lucky Friday - 1,000 if you include the sheep next door. =6,500 maximum. P.S. The wedding has been called off as she won't return the favour and suck my toes. |

And I thought it was the number of people at the track multiplied by the number of races!
