Shaytar looks like he's struggling on old tyres. He does well to hold off Dolan for a couple of laps but the Jota Gibson gets past into T1.

Hirsch catches Shaytar at the exit of T1 to take 2nd.
Edit - Lot of rain. Dolan spins. Car looks beached. FCY to save Dolan's blushes, if not the title. |

41 goes back out on slicks - I think
maybe intermediates, as on 48? 38 also intermediates, not full slicks |

Some GTE cars stayed on slicks. Marc VDS for sure.

#38 now 90 seconds behind the leading #41. A long way to go, but if Greaves don't get caught out they should be ahead of Jota at the end and to the championship. Although the temptation to lap the Jota just ahead and Shaytar pressuring behind will be a challenge for Hirsch.

Now the slick tyres are faster than the wet tyres. Some teams gained a nice advantage.

The rain is back with a vengeance. This is becoming a real test of finessing a car round a constantly changing track.
FCY. Shaytar off the track but doesn't beach it in the gravel. |

Prilaux is catching Rob Smith in the JMW Ferrari hand over fist in these conditions.

How long can a single driver be in the car?
Shaitar has been in for 2 hours I think? |

I don't think there's an upper limit for Silver/Bronze drivers in the ELMS. It looks like they're going to give the other two drivers of the #21 a stint each.

So that would confirm my assumption - I don't see any maximums mentioned for Bronze/Silver drivers.
Hirsch spins, bringing himself another 15 seconds closer to Thiriet & Dolan, although he's still in 2nd. |

Thanks for that.
So actually they can keep Shaitar in as long as they want. At the moment there's not really a reason to get him out... |

If it wasn't for Nick Tandy, Shaytar would be my shout for the best sportscar driver this year. He's put a lot of drivers in the shade over the latter half of this season.

So I would assume there's a 40 min minimum drive time for one of the gold or platinums per the 3 driver team, "If the crew is composed by 2 Platinum or Gold drivers :" clause/paragraph |

Don't worry, that was just a figure of speech
So with Dolan/Hirsch pitting soon Tincknell/Lancaster will be in for the double? Lapierre will have to watch out, I'm sure Gommendy will have briefed him... |

2x 40 minutes = 1H20. 1H33 to go from now, so as long as they bring in Lagygin just before 0H40 to go, they're safe (as long as Ladygin has done his 40 minutes of course) |

Hirsch, Dolan & Markozov all nursing their tyres. Lapierre drove clean round the outside of the Jota. With less than 90 minutes left I'd be tempted to bring it in now and have one more fuel stop to the finish.
And Jota does just that. Expect Greaves to respond next lap. Which he does. Edit - The Jota stalls on pit lane again. Another 20 seconds gone and that probably seals it for Greaves. They're basically a lap in front, only a few seconds behind the Jota on track. |
