simonb87 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Had a splendid day at Silverstone, battling with 5 Minis in the HTC. We were covered by less than a second in qualy and only a couple of seconds for most of the race - what more could you want from racing!

This link is to some excellent photos taken by a friend of mine:

Was a great event, although freeeeeeezing cold, HSCC should ask the members if we have any cars to use as a safety car, could think of some interesting ones, HFF accident looked bad, glad to hear no one hurt, a shame our guards race was shortened to 15 mins !

Thanks so much Chigley for your car and your services on the day, especially for our HFF races. The least the HSCC should pay is for tyre money....

To all our other series compatriots we apologise for stealing time off you.
Looks like all our good manners during the year were saved up then thrown away for this event but the reality of it was because we were so packed tight one small mistake had a larger than average contact ratio!

The Brooklands mayhem was due to one losing it and being collected by 5 others!
If we had metal sides we would have bounced off each other and carried on but we haven't - we have sticky-out bits.

We would like to thank the Marshals for their responses to our incidents and buy them a beer each - might be a bit dear though there were a few....

Everyone walked away from the bashs and there was a good atmosphere in the Medical Centre and at our party afterwards!

When we did get going again the racing was so good we hope it made up for the delay, if you didn't get to see it look up our website in a few days.

Hmmmmm well saved my good friend Dikko . I'm going to be honest here and say that I did voice my thoughts and proposed that your race should of been put back to the last of the day . We all had time knocked of our races .

It was a very good (5 star & 50 car) omelette we made Ian but it did involve a few cracked eggs too.

Apologies again.

Apology appreciated but my thoughts were as Ian. One red flag - unfortunate and try again. Two red flags - put back race to end of the day if there is enough time.

Having to wait all day and have race reduced to 15 minutes after only getting 12 minutes practice was a bit annoying.

12 minuets qualifying and to then get you race shortened to 15 minuets!
It was more than a bit annoying.

I was only there as a spectator, but it seemed to me that the meeting contained everything that is both good and not so good about club-level racing. The safety car issue and the FF races discussed above being cases in point. What lessons have been learned I wonder?

I couldn't even think of entertaining thought, as generous as your comments are I probably use more rubber going round the A43 roundabouts at Brackley.
