They've flicked the timing to race mode to enable a Safety Car test later in the session.

So it's going to be very confusing for the remainder of the session unfortunately. Unless they reset it afterwards.

Presumably the usual procedure of running the first session as if it's a race so they can practice SC procedures etc. Cars listed in order of number of laps completed.

Lexus has to feel pretty good with both cars performing at the top of the GT order in their first attempt at Le Mans.

Not only not showing their full hand, the circuit is going through the usual rubbering-in phase. Times will improve right through to hyperpole.

Speaking of ... I don't think sub-3:20 is out of the question based on today's pace.

Only 3 seconds slower than the fastest GTE on Test Day last year.....

LMP2 cars are still quick around here. Mixing it up with the slower Hypercars with 3:35 laps.

Also, Lambo and IF have some high top speeds. Over 340kph

Rather unlikely, surely those cars are fast on the straights but last-gen LMP1s were doing 3:14-3:15s so sub-3:20 for hypercars is a tough ask.

Where's that info from? In FP1 they did 336 kph maximum according to alkamelsystems.com timing info. By the way last year's max was 347 kph if I remember correctly and LMP1 speed record is 350 kph, that may not stand after this year's race
