I agree with the name change. Nothing is confirmed, so you can't be jumping to conclusions.

Yeah, change it asap...really quite an irresponsible thread to start (at least with such an alarmist title) - not knowing the details and all...

But yes, lets hope for the best and a full recovery from all involved

MickAU has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Marcus, is it possible to delete the posts that may intimate there has been a fatality and replace the opening post with something a little more appropriate?

This from VESA at 3.11pm:

"There has been a serious racing incident at today’s Bathurst 1000 in the first race of Development Series at Mount Panorama.

"Two drivers have been injured and have been transported to hospital.

"Further information will be provided as it comes to hand."

That was from Cole Hitchcock

Yep I just saw it on the ch 9 link, it looked better than a nose in smash.

The first post made my heart jump out of my chest. Let's use more discretion in the future.

It looks very serious but hopefully both drivers will recover, especially mark since he seemed to take the worst of it.

Sky News have Will Hagon on the 4.00pm saying they are both critical and they are waiting on further news.

I'm sure he said Clark has gone to Sydney but I may have this mixed up.

im not doubting u chatters, but thats ludicrous, why travel someone by helicopter for maybe 15 minute trip, including loading and unnloading to a hospital 5 minute drive away.

i would imagine they are at sydney hospital.. but i cant confirm, only a rough educated guess....

I'd agree, if they are that seriously injured then they will not bother with the local hospital.

An ambulance crew treated both men at the scene. Porter was then flown by helicopter to Nepean hospital.

Clark was taken by road ambulance to Bathurst hospital and was then due to be transferred by helicopter to Westmead hospital.

They've said that Mark Porter is at nepean and David Clark is at westmead. I saw a news article saying one had serious head injuries and the other was in cardiac arrest.

I was more concerned with Porter at the time....but having seen a picture of the #36 and hearing that one driver has head injuries and the other in cardiac arrest, I am very concerned for the both of them now..I thought Clark would have been alright.

The news is still reporting they're both in hospital in a critical condition, a friend messaged me from the track that they'd heard Porter had died but hopefully that is just paddock gossip gone wrong.

I sincerly hope they are ok, both Porter and Clark are good steerers, Clark has impressed me in the Fujitsu series, he just hasn't had the results.

The crash didn't look all that bad, I've seen alot worse, If I had seen it before hearing they were injured I wouldn't have even thought about them being injured from an incident like that.
