Alan, Blind ears? don't i normally try and join in the filthy conversation? - or were you trying to save my dignity?
Hugs? for you sweetie, anytime! keep chatting, things wouldn't be the same without you. (for one we'd have no one to embarass quite as easily!) |

Nice one Alan. Afraid I haven't made a BTCC round this year, but your voice is sorely missed on the club racing scene!

To be perfectly frank Alan, I was suprised at how professional the commentry team on radio TOCA was, ever since my first round at Oulton Park in 98'.
David Addison, and you do a real fine job, and add a lot to the proceedings. PS How does Addison talk so fast? |

Wow again!
Thanks, Andy! That's really kind of you to say so - I wouldn't have thought anyone would have missed me from clubbies - but I have missed doing them very much! Thanks for saying that!
My absence from them is half because I have been quite busy this year, and half because new people have come along and stepped into those meetings, and been very able to do an excellent job.....so I tend not to get offered them anymore! But I will be at Rockingham's BARC meeting this weekend, and a BRSCC Meeting at Snetterton in a few weeks. Yippee! And thank you also to Sodemo2 - we like the word "pro" a lot! As far as Mr Addison is concerned - I don't know the secret, but he did once say to me that people from the north can commentate and talk quicker because their vowels are shorter - maybe that is the secret.....whatever, he certainly has an amazing command of the English language and a very expansive knowledge, as indeed does Mr Titchmarsh, who was the main race commentator on TOCA this year - I find it totally amazing! Oh yeah, and liberal quantities of talent! Now red, where's that mic........... |

So, this is what the darkside looks like...
Just had to sign up to say a couple of thanky's. First, obviously, to the Hyde-meister, radio god, DJ par excllence and general all round dude. Top notch broadcasting all season and most enjoyable. There's nothing like listening to a Hyde/Soper Interview as you drive thru the North Yorks scenery much too early in the morning. Second, to John B&Q who supplied Power Horse when it was most needed on Sunday night. Cool blokey and nuff respect for the sleeping arrangements Thirdly to Bella, Bar Babe and Minardi Fan, who made Fizz and I welcome at their Gathering of Souls this weekend, even if we did get chucked out of the Caravelle when it was ****ing it down. And a special thanks to Minardi Fan in particular, for his fine dancing lessons. I have never had a one second lesson before in my life and it was quite an experience.... The head-waggling thing will move thru-out the country now and become bigger than the Macarena! I'm assuming you didn't like the gift Fizz and I gave to you as it lay deposited in the mud at about four am on sunday, broken in two and left for dead. It took so much thought and preparation as well... |

Welcome aboard Mr LK... good to see you here... just no silly hats, okay ? Shame you didn't stick around for a drink at the campsite - next time, eh ? Oh, and thanks for the present BTW... looked most splendid in the camper until we actually needed to move around, so it was 'repositioned' out of the window... Can we have another present next time ? Al, cheques in the post dude... Are you charidee daying this year, or have you had enough of racecar passenger rides ? I seem to recall you looking a bit green at the media day...! |

Alan ....... your commentarty, is without a doubt, the best around (ok so I am biased... as being the No 1 stalker and all ... he he).
Toca radio should never be replaced ... we all enjoy listening, what ever time of the day and night during the race weekend and I know many of us even enjoy listening to the edited versions on the tocatour site when we get home. You make it seem fun, enjoyable, and we all like to be kept upto date with information on the drivers! The after race interview's are invaluable. Most of all you are a fab, jolly, person who always says hello and make us smile. What would we do without you!!!!!? Hugs Woody x Last edited by WoodyTJ; 10 Oct 2001 at 18:28. |

They weren't my alcohol supplies, they were Fizzi's. At least they went to a good/thirsty home.
I'm sorry Craig, I've seen you wearing the most dopiest Union Jack flags, draped in B&Q flags with your head stuck between the legs of an inflatable kangaroo while carrying a five foot high inflatable drill. And you mention my hat with bells on... Go figure. We shall see about presents...depends on whats about if you get my drift. nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more, guv'nor. |

Al - all I can say is you and your team have done a fantastic job this year with all of the humour, enthusiasm and dedication that you have shown to drivers and spectators alike.
You've really made me smile and feel at home! I'm going to miss you guys heaps over winter!! I hope you're feeling better soon..... Keep in touch Jo x |

Alan I was just wondering, do you know either Martin Haven or Ben Edwards (TV commentators). (I rate Ben Edwards as possible the best there is)
I haven't been to a round of the BTCC this year for the first time in 3 years, so does David Addison no longer do the race commentry? |

Hi Sodemo!
Yes, I know both Martin and Ben, and rate them both as really nice guys who do an excellent job..... I have known "Shaven" for quite a long time, and have worked with him on the Network Q Rally GB. He has been the source of many a great amusing e-mail over the years, and his live commentaries never fail to make me smile! I like him very much. I worked together with Ben for the first time this year - at Rockingham's Opening Ceremony and subsequent Coys Historic Festival, and recently at the Rockingham 500 Champ Car meeting, a couple of weeks ago - when he absolutely excelled. We had two days of not too much happening to "fill", and he was quite superb. His style and knowledge is friendly and well informed, and his delivery considered and exciting. His last two laps of the Champ Car race was like the Vodafone Derby meets F1, and will stay in my mind for a very long time! David has done two BTCC meetings as the main voice this year, (when Ian Titchmarsh was away on holiday), and many other meetings besides, as the voice from the second commentary point. TOCATour was not his primary commentary commitment as, since it's inception, he has been the main voice and coordinator of PowerTour Radio, and was therefore not able to be at the BTCC when there were clashing rounds. And Joanna Clarke..... on here! Saying nice things about us..... Joanna Clarke. Nuff said. Respect. |

Greetings troops, chief Webmaster blokey here. It seems a number of the members are having problems putting up pictures on their profile, so if anyone wants one added, please email it to me (webmaster@ten-tenths.com) and I'll add it manually while I figure out what's wrong with the thing!!

Webmaster blokey!
Thank you, Michael!
As Woody is aware, I have strived hard to get in my required 20 posts so that I can add a piccy, only to find I am technically inept enough to not be able to post it! I am heartened that even a pc wizz like pb_btcc has also struggled! Not that I am particularly vain or anything - it's just that I have been sent a great picture that I would be comfortable to represent my likeness......you can't actually see my face AT ALL! Therefore, it's the perfect picture! |

I liked Martin Haven ever since I heard him commentate on this German Hillclimb event on Eurosport, where he just kept on making these insulting and cynical comments on the whole event.
Why do Eurosport no longer show the Hillclimbs? |
