Clive, we are not allowed ordinary 'caffs' in Luton. We have a Sicilian Café, Chinese Take-Aways, Sushi bars, Balti Rstaurants, Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi Curry Houses, Thai Cuisine, Polish Eateries and Italian Trattoria's, and innumerable dining places of dubious origin, but if you want egg and chips you are out of luck.

True story; At the last Council elections, I went to the Polling Station and when I studied the names on the ballot papers I thought it was the cast list of a Bollywood movie. There were only three names I could pronounce .. well that sounded ... how can I put it....? ......... English?
So I voted for them, one represented Labour, one Liberal and one Conservative.

My political allegiance knows no bounds.

I am not the sort of person you would want to invite to a party of mixed race .... officials.

HSCC & MSCC

After a busy weekend, and a lot of editing of photo's I have managed to post the latest batch of the 'Big' the 'Bad' and the 'Beautiful', marshals on duty that failed to dodge in time, at Silverstone and Donington.

As always a pleasure to share a bit of God's Green Earth with you all for a short time, in between relaxing and eating. (I hope you also managed to get some of both.)

Pictures from the action will follow before to long and as always are free to download.

F3 & Gt next weekend, stay alert.

Cheers,

Bob.

Very kind regards,

Bob the Armstrong-Jones of the motor sport world.

PS; It states you are a Rookie, is that on the forum or as a marshal? Or both?
Hehe yes, I recognise humour.. I frequent quite a few different circuits, so chances are you will catch up with me at some point! I am just a rookie on here, with 8 years on the bank.

I appreciate that you had a long way to run, and probably a little short of spare breath, however, a shout of; "Git aht the way plonka" would have been nice!

Did you not realise I was too busy snapping the fire to expect a pack of marshals to come pounding past behind my back?

I missed a couple of proper 'action shots' as you sprinted past. Now they would have been well worth posting on the site, probably made the front page of the Sun as well. Oh! Well another lesson learnt.

Nice to meet you guys,

Bob.

A few somewhat disturbing images from the F3/GT Meeting at Silverstone, a bit later than usual, but my computer died on Sunday (Ah!) and I have had to rush out and splash out for a new one.

Any donations will be gratefully received by Lloyds/TSB.

Blancpain this weekend - see you there.

Bob.

Another 63 disturbing images are downloading on to the usual site, which must surely by now be attracting attention from any organisation that monitors 'dodgy web sites'.

Good to see that Blancpain (White Bread?) brought the good weather with them, you all look so much nicer when the sun is beaming down, than when the rain and snow drives the dedicated photographer into the Paddock Diner.

Can anyone explain that when you point a camera at a marshal they tend to leap out of the way, as if they were blocking the view of the racing cars, even when you have your back to them to or even if there no cars on track atall?

Some familiar faces and some fresh, and one lovely lady with yet another hat from her massive collection.

Despite the rather fetching pink bib that made me look as if I was on my way to a Gay Wedding, nobody took the 'mick', how polite you all are.

Next venture will be MG Live, so leave the bananas at home. Right Merve?

Cheers,

Bob.

Thanks Bob - whilst I managed to avoid the camera by hiding in a rescue unit, I did appreciate the photos you so graciously offered.

The one I took will be going to a friend in North Carolina (they don't see many Morgans)

Idiot! Would I take offence? No way! I can take a joke better than I can a photograph, mind you that is not saying a lot.

Pass my regards to your US friend from a fellow snapper in the UK, and be assured no offence was taken, I was just out for a cheap laugh.

Do say hello if you see this aged photographer lurching past your post at any time.

Cheers,

Bauble. AKA Bob.

PS: My fault I should have added a smiley to my reply in the first place.
