At Road America 2014
Fastest Trans am lap 2:08.850 GTE 2:05.267 GTD 2:10.897 Keep in mind this track favors power, so the TA cars have an advantage. And these are race laps not qualifying. |

I'm assuming that's the TA1 class time.
What about TA2? |

Okay good bang for the buck.
Difference between TA1 and TA2 is mainly engine power? |

at Lime Rock, yes.
Trans Am had close to 60 cars - all run together - at Mid-Ohio earlier this year! |

The two actual TV broadcasts from earlier this year at RA and Mid-Ohio are now available for all to see, check them out - it's a very rare thing today

Homestead
I am going to this race because I went to the opener at Sebring and it was great (gonna have to DVR the WEC on FS1!) There are not many fans like it used to be, but the competition and atmosphere are well worth it. I paid $10 to get in at Sebring. Homestead may be $20 for a day. TA2, which is the ascendant category of the series, will have their own race this weekend.

Pretty jealous! Overall grids of close to 70 cars is amazing!
Trying to find a way to see TA at some point in the season - preferably at Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio or VIR. Have fun! |

It's surprising to see Trans-Am getting a big grid nowadays! Of course, it can't compete against Pirelli World Challenge in their current state.
