Shame there's no Riley in P2, but a great mix none the less

Nice to see P3 is more mixed with a few Norma's coming in to break the Ligier lock

What happened to the Murphy Riley programme announced this time last year?!

Yet another still born P3?!

also nice to see a couple of new 488's, probably going to leave the older cars behind

The ELMS LMP2 field still has more variety than the WEC one.

Wasn't the Riley LMP3 posting "very competitive" laptimes in testing last year? Homologation issues again or is the car just too slow?

Shame to have lost the likes of Greaves, Jota, Eurasia & Murphy but the addition of Nederland, United Autosports, Graff, Tockwirth etc makes up for it, still a strong grid with some good variety. Who's running the G-Drive entry?

We might see some of them in the AsLMS later in the year, there are a lot of old gen P2s available (mainly Ligiers and BRs).

Beechdean's GTE Aston lineup confirmed as Andrew Howard/Darren Turner/Ross Gunn.

I've been impressed by Gunn in his British GT outings, so it's good to see him stepping up to the GTE car.

Let's be frank - if all else is equal I'd take a factory driver over a driver who isn't. It sucks for Alex to be passed over again, but it's not hard to understand the decision from what we know here.

But hopefully he has found himself something more substantial and high-profile. For all the talk of how sportscars is the go-to place for young single-seater drivers, it is becoming increasingly odd to see somewhat as good as Brundle miss out.

I understand what you are saying, but how much of a factory driver is Albuquerque really?
How many races did he really do for Audi over all these years?

I can see that argument, particularly when some manufacturers (of which Audi are one) keep drivers on partly to stop them jumping ship, but he was good enough for Audi to rely on him consistently, and for them to keep him sharp in various LMP2 cars. He also has experience with AER for what it's worth, so while he may not be known to UA they can call on the testimony of (at least?) three well-regarded teams and a factory.
