Can we have a rough points at this stage?
Or do we have to wait? |

Pole is only worth one point per class, so 4 points possible. With Dyson on P2 pole, I don't think anyone got a clean sweep. So the range will be 0 to 3 I'm guessing. I'd rather not do a run down at this stage. The race will be the key. Lots of points up for grabs!

Are we going to use the "Q" times even though they have been abandoned?
Or will we use the grid poles as set by ALMS/IMSA by rule? L.P. |

Nothing like a bit of controversy on Day 1!!!!
I feel robbed of my Peugeot pole prediction but on the other hand without IMSA's intevention I wouldn't have got Penske back on the P2 pole. Swings and Roundabouts but I am presuming we are going to have to go with the revised grid based on the practice sessions??? |

I'm still thinking it over, but more than likely I will scrap the Sebring pole picks. That seems the most fair at this point.

While I don't think my picks benefit from it, I think we should take the given grid order.
A car crashed and red-flagged a session to bring it to an end? Hey, that's racing. Some teams had the good sense or luck of bringing in some fast laps earlier in practice, some didn't. While unfortunate, it's not like the case was problematic in terms of the rules. It's been handled and decided this way by the rules, and even if we don't like it, that's how it pans out. Doesn't seem very ambiguous. I don't see it differently from any other random occurrence that screws up someone's race (random electric defect, being randomly punted, hitting an oil spot on the track, random puncture, etc) while handing the lead to someone else. I say: Let's go with the grid order. |

I think Jhansen is right- scrap the pole picks, its fairest after all.

Guys, I really don't see why the picks should be scrapped. Nothing outside of the rules happened. It's just a track incident that was handled by existing rules and regulations, in place to deal with just those. Really, nothing out of the "ordinary".
Had there been something the rules weren't prepared to handle, then scrapping the picks might have been a viable route, but I can't see the necessity the way it is. Last edited by Satorian; 15 Mar 2008 at 11:36. |
