A little short notice, but if you fancy a trip to Newport Pagnell for the Bonhams auction tomorrow, DBR9-102 is for sale.

Lot 230 details
Quote:
The DBR9 was acquired new from AMR by Alcides Diniz with the intention of running the car in South America. Co-drivers were destined to be Paul Boesel, Pedro Lamy and Tony Kanaan. Sadly, poor health on Diniz’s part prevented the car from racing. As such, the car is effectively in as new condition with minimal hours to chassis and engine. The present owner acquired chassis 102 from the family.

Now this has not been raced but appears to be ex works rather than a customer car, so could this be DBR9/5 or 9/8?
And this,

Are almost certainly talking about the same car, so I was completely wrong!

I was told yesterday that the owner was Harry Leventis.

Hardman is Leventis' regular driver. That's why he was in the car in 2006 as well.

The Gulf liveried DBR9 at the Autosport International show running as I write carries the number DBR9/SC1 (apparently for Show Car 1) so my next question is 'how complete is it?'

Bell Motorsports will be running Aston Martin DBR9 in this year's ALMS, they are testing at Sebring this week. I not a 100% certain where the car has come from.

Aston Martin Racing Car Chassis's

Got thinking earlier: Who owns and races all the Aston Martin Racing car chassis's.

All DBR9's, DBRS9's, V8 Vantage GT2's, & V8 Vantage N24's

Aston Martin DBR9's

There are from what I can work out:

One chassis that races as #007 ('07 &'08) with Aston Martin Racing (unknown chassis # and owner)

One chassis that races as #009 ('07 & '08) with Aston Martin Racing (unknown chassis # & owner)

One chassis that races as #59 with Team Modena (Chassis #101 & Owned By Rik Bryan (I think))

One chassis that races as #53 (Le Mans 2008 (Vitaphone) & #61 with Strakka Racing (Unknown chassis & owner)

One chassis that was for sale in mid 2007 on Piston Heads which was chassis 102 (Unknown current owner)

One chassis that used to race with Aston Martin Racing Larbre as #50 (unknown chassis # & current owner)

One chassis that used to race with Aston Martin Racing Larbre as #51 (unknown chassis # & current owner)

One chassis that used to race with Aston Martin Racing BMS as #22 (unknown chassis # & current owner)

One chassis that used to race with Aston Martin Racing BMS as #23 (unknown chassis # & current owner)

One chassis that raced under Cirtek Motorsport banner with current Team Modena DBR9 until Team Modena & Cirtek parted ways. (Unknown chassis # & current owner)

One chassis that races with Jetalliance Racing as #33 (Unknown chassis # and am guessing that it is owned by Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer)

One chassis that races with Jetalliance Racing as #36 (Unknown chassis # and am guessing that it is owned by Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer)

One chassis that races/raced with Phoenix Racing as #9 (Zolder '07). Was/Is for sale on FIA GT website. (Chassis #104 & Unknown current owner)

http://www.fiagt.com/img/showimg.php...ize=3&rnd=true

One chassis that used to race with Barwell Motorsport as #17. I think this is the chassis that Gigaware Motorsport are using. (Unknown chassis # & Probable owners: Gigaware Motorsport)

One chassis that races with Gigawave Motorsport as #10. I think this is the former chassis of Barwell Motorsport. (Unknown chassis #)

One chassis that races with Bell Motorsport as #008. (Unknown chassis # & current owner)

Don't think there are any more DBR9's.

Can anybody fill in the 'blanks' of unknown information?

Tom.
