What about the need to do a 14 day hotel quarantine on return to NZ after Kiwis visit NSW/Aus..... and the fact both Kiwis involved in the wildcard have already unsuccessfully tried to get an MIQ allocation for an official quarantine on return space?

Nothing seems to have changed at the NZ end for their return to NZ regardless of any change to arrival quarantine iarrangements n Aus. (At this stage)

Yep, i much prefer the early starts. Its slowly crept out, half hour a time, until, like Sandgroper has said, our BBQ brekkies, are being replaced with a lunch.
Always had a reason to crack a beer at 9 and lay the bacon on the hotplate. Might still need the beer if its Beretta babbling on for 3 hours before race start.

Back when I lived in Perth and invited the guys around to watch the race and they turned up with Chicken and Champagne at 6am to watch the start, I still don't remember much of that day. Never invited them again

I must admit, I'm guilty of not seeing the end of a race. I had a rather big day and missed the finish of a very historic race. The 1977 Bathurst.

I've been watching since 1972 and have only missed part of the 2016 due to being in hospital with chest pain, a few weeks after having a few stents inserted, as for drinking, as soon as the checkered flag has been waved I then have a beer or four

Back when we were young and silly (and you could take your own eskies) I had a mate (hi Baz) who didn't even make the 10am start...

Seen that sort of behaviour so many times at Le Mans for the 24 hour race, people turn up on the Friday and get legless, Saturday breakfast hair of the dog and come the start of the race at 3 or 4pm they are completely comatose spreadeagled on the ground

Showers or rain forecast every day except Sunday - back again on Monday.

Even though it's December, beginning to feel something like typical Bathurst weather!

Backagain has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Already over the screaming "bringing the Bathurst" Repco ad, they just played it three times in a row.

Well, first session for the Big guns has been run. The supercheap car was Not seen on the coverage till within the last minute and that was only in the back ground. Then with about 8 sec to go it was in focus with Broc greeting the flag.
