Good to meet you again - & a few more "old" friends . . . plus a lot of new ones!

That wasn't a kiss, that was rape!

I think I'm going to have to stop talking to drivers - I do seem to have jinxed Martin Lofthouse (TR7, car 3, Bernie's V8S) & the Gough brothers (car 92, NASCAR)!

Tim Neill should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Fluke tornado at Post 22 on Sunday

The most amazing fluke of nature ... a sudden great swirl of wind blasted us at Post 22 on Sunday, throwing two straw bales against us as we crouched behind - and desperately clung to - the Armco. Hats spun out of sight as a thick cloud of dust, grit and grass cuttings completely obscured the race unfolding in front of us. Not that we had our eyes open for those 30 seconds to see it, or to even have taken avoiding action if anything had come off ... as a Legend had, at exactly the same spot the day before.

And blow me if Nature didn't return a few hours later when another mini tornado struck, passing safely over the pack as they approached post 22 on their opening lap. Did anyone else see it?

From Post 9 we could see something, a sort of blue, red and silver coloured localised tornado. If you listened carefully, you could just make out a strange cry from the eye of the storm; sounded like "keep off my grass" or something close to it

Thank you everyone who made my first car meeting at Brands Hatch thoroughly enjoyable and I even got to see, in my perspective, the other Druids.

Funds permitting I would love to return next year.
