Time zones make it hard. Over here on the west coast in the U.S. it's only now 8:30pm, but that's early morning in Europe. I think those guys will only catch the tail end of the race if it goes the distance.

As it stands right now, the #2 Porsche should win the drivers' title since all they have to do is finish ahead of the #8 Toyota, and Porsche will all but clinch the manufacturers' title.
That's if the race were to be called now. Of course, that will shuffle as soon as it goes back green since everyone has pitted in LMP1 aside from the #2 Porsche. Now about 10 minutes to restart from race control. |

Biggest problem at Fuji this go around isn't rain or ponding water, but fog.

Toyota are faster atm and the #2 goes a lap down (albeit because it pitted only after the restart).
GT Porsches also loving these conditions. SC again |

I wasn't even aware that this was on this weekend. Nothing on Autosport front page either.

Brain fade by the #67
Check that, two in a row. Maybe a mechanical issue? |

Well that wasn't much fun. What racing there was was generally pretty good. Remarkably few incidents and some decent green runs between the fog.

Outside of 2015 which was a horrid year all around for Toyota, they've won every WEC race held so far at Fuji that they started.
Porsche were basically no where in the race after the driver changes happened. |

They seemed to struggle when the track got wet as they could not get their tyres up to temperature like Toyota. At times, the #2 was like 7 seconds a lap slower than Nakajima

Were full or half points awarded? The news accounts seem to suggest it was full points, but the winning car (#8 Toyota) only did 4:24:50.950, which is less than 75 percent of the time. Or am I missing something here?

I think. It's a bit confusing. But they did say full points, yeah. |
