I think a Ferrari supply to Minardi is a distinct possibility, because I think Prost is going to be an AMT car /as well/instead of Arrows...

i thought that the discussions over AMT buying into Prost has falling through? And AMT is now discussing with Arrows, but Minardi is surely a good possibility. A cheap yet well established runner in F1...
i do not think Ferrari would provide them with customer engines. It would stretch Ferrari's engineers to the limit and furthermore, Minardi has no way of paying. But it could change if Sauber follows their plan to dump their engines... Mercedes had been known to be unwilling to provide more than 1 team with engines. Furthermore, with the highly suspicious Ron and the Ilmor engineers, its unlikely for them to provide to the other Italian team... BMW. An unlikely proposition now, they just started their F1 programme and would like to settle down before they add on to their workload. However, with the most powerful engine on the grid, they might be motivated enough to provide Minardi with the other. Honda. Definite no no...they already provide 2 teams with works engine, and ready to dump one...not add another one... Renault. Despite what they have said, they still could provide Minardi this year with either last year's engine or this years. Afterall, they have the capacity to provide up to 3 teams with engines. But unlikely too are they going to allow their new technology to be leaked out. Toyota. Have no idea how these japanese think. Ford. Also have the capacity to provide a 2nd team with engines. But isnt their current engine a Ford too? Unless they have a new deal to draw the newer engine. Anyway, didnt Paul say its a new works engine deal? No customers? Where on earth will it come from...cant think of much WORKS deal left...unless VW group makes a sudden comeback, or it be one of those specialist engine-tuners. |

PS says it will be a FULL WORKS ENGINE, from one of the manufacturers already on the grid. Please God, don't let it be Asiatech. And more to the point if he knows its a FULL WORKS ENGINE, the it must be confirmed, so 'JUST BLOODY TELL US PAUL!!'
