Nah, man. I've not been paying attention to the hybrid stuff and maybe it's just at road courses, but they had a thing at the beginning; internal starters and reverse with electric motor only.

So no traditional starter before hybrids, but now with hybrid they can? I thought during those pit stalls, the NBC crew mentioned that hybrid power is unavailable in the pits.

Not sure. The Mayor says a tall first gear is the likely cause of the stalls.

That's correct. No hybrid power in the pits, which IMHO, is pretty dumb, because we like sportscars!

the starters could help on track though when people spin. of course won't matter much down the stretch as it is oval heavy.
