If true, with no reason to doubt Speedcafe, it is certainly very curious. You have not only David Reynolds leaving after Bathurst success, Penrite leaving after Bathurst success, Peter Adderton's Boost Mobile leaving Erebus before championship success, but Will Brown leaving during championship success and Brodie Kostecki leaving after championship success.

Very weird for a top-shelf operation which builds demonstrably fast race cars.

I doubt it, the new editor there would likely have gone gotten Supercars thoughts before pressing go on it, he’s always across as Supercars fan and keeping his mates first, loyalty to the audience second.

Reynolds left at the end of 2020, three years after he won Bathurst. The relationship between team and driver deteriorated when he and some of his entourage carried on like pork chops during the time the team was based in Queensland for 3 or 4 months due to Covid lockdowns in Melbourne. Maybe, but Supercars were never going to comment nor endorse the story, it is between Kostecki and Erebus, Supercars would have no involvement.

It is to do with Supercars by association and if they didn’t want something being outed it wouldn’t be, by their aligned media at least anyway.

There isn’t a sport in Australia that has such a weak and cowering media as motor racing.
More like a collective of PR syncophants than a credible and objective source of news.
