Oli stopped so he didn't run over the airgun hose of the car in front. https://twitter.com/LanzaroteCamel/s...14246261825536 |

Off topic, but if it helps, NASCAR did DQ Busch after his car failed tech post race. |

Odds in Mazda being smart and not banging doors and ending in heartache? It they keep pushing and run out of fuel?
Damn, looked like Oli had that at a later stop too. Need a bit more air hose guys. |

A Cadillac 1-2-3 and a Corvette 1-2 at the Cadillac Grand Prix.
How convenient. |

Well .... mazda gambled and lost. Easy to say from where I sit ... but they were never going to win, so they best they could hope for was a podium .... so slowing a little and conserving fuel wouldn't have really hurt.

Whelen wins with Nasr back.
The odd colored BowTie wins. Did both Mazdas NOT make it to the stripe? The Mazda fuel strategy bit them again |

Looks like Dragonspeed screwed up the math and they're out. PR1 wins due to Hindman short on drive time. |

Not sure they had a lot of margin to do that — the #5 car was right behind them. Conserve more fuel, and maybe the Mazdas are still fourth and fifth. |

Can't see a problem w/Porsche penalty. What did they get 3(?) years ago @ Petit for rear ending Risi in the pits for a DNF? Stop & go?
Good news about shrub. |

I'm not sure telling us how all the cars that weren't Cadillacs were slow proves the point you want it to.

Who would you say should have? Penske can't figure out how to not screw up the Oreca suspension. Obviously it works, Oreca LMP2s manage fine around there but somehow they always shake the car to pieces and have plumbing issues. Mazda is always hurt here with the post Daytona boost penalty. Car has the top speed but the tiny engine can't launch enough. There needs to be a middle ground there somewhere but Mazda never complained, seems like the car isn't happy at Sebring or places they need the torque they desperately don't have. And the team had to gamble. So who exactly was going to win in DPi? It just want to run your mouth without backing up your claims? As for GTLM, Porsche was far and away the fastest. Screwed up their quali lap in 912 after being fast in every session and then slammed in to each other in the race. Not a good look for the drivers who need to find new race seats in a few months. BMW is just a garbage show of BOP racing and when they leave I won't cry at all. Fast at Daytona and ran long, no changes just suddenly slow? Yeah, that's not even close and you can hear it in car. They aren't pushing and IMSA isn't going to give you a bump cause you're cheating the system. So again I ask, running your yap to prove you don't watch or just tryin to pretend there's a conspiracy? And yes, stupid comments get smart ass responses. Next time bring some evidence to support your stupidity or open your mouth and remove all doubt of your lack of thought. |

I think Hawksworth with AIM/Vasser has a silver driver in Aaron Telitz that can get the job done. At least GTD was more interesting today than at Daytona. Shank cars come back next round. Maybe some other cars too? GTD should really get good for the rest of 2020.

Before this gets out of hand. Let's not get into insults and bad language. We have a attack the post not the poster rule here and it is also a family forum so watch the language. But also, post sensibly. If you are going to throw out accusations of corruption (or whatever) then explain your reasoning - it's only fair. It also makes for much better and interesting discussion. No need to comment on this, these are just the rules and guidelines of 10-10ths, lets get to the race. /MOD NOTE |

Corvette P&M team by far the best. The deserved to win running away. Porsche guys were not clean, BMW guys did not have the speed. This was a race where we really miss Ford. They would have challenged Chevy for sure.
Series really hurt with Ford leaving. Sebring 240 race I think it was felt. Won't be the last time either. I'm glad GTD race was competitive and it did get more TV time than Daytona 240 did. When we get to Sebring in November I think the GTLM cars can run qualifying in the 1 min 54 bracket with cooler temps and data from this race. |

I think the C8R is now their fastest car ever. Faster than the C6R GT1 now. C8 lapped Sebring at 1 min 55. C6 during GT1 did 1 min 56. Can't wait to see if the C8 can get into the 1 min 54 bracket in November at Sebring. I think it can.

The new Vette is very fast. I don't know about the bop, I didn't read up on it but I thought Caddy got a little weight break from Daytona? I don't think it mattered a lot. Glad to see that Lexus is going strong still, they need the consistency which was lacking last year.

Go figure, Castroneves saying Acura had no chance because of BoP meaning they had to make an extra pit stop, how could this be? Wouldn't nearly have done anything about Nasr and probably not WTR either, but they likely would have finished 3-4 instead of 6-7 without the extra stop.
