I guess SuperGT testing for Mako, because the last round of this season is this weekend.

It seems like Aston Martin's whole squad, with the possible exception of the #97 car, is in a state of constant flux. Unlike other teams, driver lineups seem to follow the priorities of other worldwide racing commitments, whereas in Porsche AG or AF Corse the WEC is the drivers' main priority. Perhaps that's something to consider amending next year. |

Theyre playing musical chairs to get their drivers seat time after cutting back on the number of entered cars. At least they still get to drive even though their entry was cut. Maybe Aston are saving resources for next year?

I don't see anything Northwest or Dalla Lana-sponsored on the cars next year. As was said in a previous race thread, he's fallen out of love with the WEC. Does anyone have any insider info as to why? Maybe he's tired of getting his derrière kicked in GTE-Pro. |

http://sportscar365.com/wec/revised-...ions-revealed/
It doesn't necessarily relate to the 6 Hours of Shanghai specifically but I thought it was relevant. The FIA's sportscar driver rankings have been revised for 2014 and now have officially gone public. There are several current FIA WEC drivers that will have their ratings changed in preparation for next season. Patrick Bornhauser - Silver to Bronze Christophe Bourret - Silver to Bronze Paul Dalla Lana - Silver to Bronze (perhaps that's why he hates the WEC now? ) Matt Griffin - Silver to Gold Stuey Hall - Silver to Gold Keiko Ihara - Silver to Bronze Tracy Krohn - Silver to Bronze Fred Makowiecki - Gold to Platinum Jann Mardenborough - Silver to Gold Jacques Nicolet - Silver to Bronze Enzo Potolicchio - Silver to Bronze Christian Ried - Silver to Bronze Gianluca Roda - Silver to Bronze Roman Rusinov - Silver to Gold Richie Stanaway - Silver to Gold |

Hmm, Toyota on top 1-2 for FP2, a sign of things to come?

Toyota almost made a fool of themselves, by celebrating before Treluyer ran over the finish line It was very close in the end.
I think that the race will be an easy win for Toyota. Audi does not have the performance advantage that they need to make up for the extra fuel consumption. And Toyota will probably be more gentle on the tyres. |

Yeah, but they must have been watching the sector times and then saw that Treluyer was about half a second down at the end of sector 2, and the camera cut to them after the S1+S2 time appeared on the TV feed.

This is the explanation for the missing FP2 times of Audi #1:

It's poised nicely that's for sure.
Looks like it was Wurz's laps which really made the difference for pole there in the #7. The big question is will I get up in the wee hours to watch it? I'll give it a go I think. |

Can anyone tell me if there's going to be a live video feed of the race?

The video feed wasn't great for me this morning. Lots of freezing and dropping out completely. Anyone else catch quali and have similar problems?
There is no way I will be getting up at 2am or whatever it is for the race but I will probably watch the last 2 or 3 hours. Hopefully with fully functioning video! |

It was jumpy for me too, but better than the fuzzy alternative on Motors TV, with all the adverts. Seriously, who is going to claim PPI at 3 in the morning whilst watching a WEC race?
The streams are usually pretty good. Any other non-lightweights ( ) attempting to stay up for the whole thing? |
