Looks like its Mistubishi that Tom Walkinshaw will be involved with.

Has someone told Mr Walkinshaw that the WRC program is off???
Does this announcement suggest TWG now has something to do with RalliArt? |

Massive anticlimax really. I can't see the point in what TWG are doing, there not even running a team.

So they supply and support privateers in national and club circuit racing in the UK? |

Their website www.twg-ltd.com is not yet in the air.
There is still a Ralliart sticker on the car. Has Walkinshaw bought the former Ralliart UK workshops? EDIT: Ralliart UK is now called Xtreme Automobiles, www.xtreme-uk.net |

I don't see the big deal personally. It happens all the time to lots of companies who then spring back up over the weekend with a different name. |

Considering TWG is coming out from bankruptcy, I guess you have to start somewhere? As well, would any manufacturer give TWG a chance to handle a full works program as in the Volvo days? He'll have to earn back his reputation which he lost due to getting involved with Arrows and going bankrupt?

So a rally support effort and Holden mod shop. Sadly no touring car related annoucement? I would have thought that touring cars would generate or bring him more attention--Even if it was a privately run touring car team. This way, he could rebuild his rep quicker?

What's getting attention or building a rep go to do with it? This is about making money, same as any other motorsport related business. You'll make far more building rally cars for other people to crash than you will running a touring car team, especially a privateeer one.

Yes it does happen quite often, but it still doesn't make it right and doesn't make it acceptable that people are allowed to run a company again. Unfortunately people are blinkered because of the work TWR has done in the past (Jag Le Mans, Arrows, Jag & Rover touring cars, Volvo etc) and just want more teams back, but I don't feel that way and neither do a very large number of people in the UK motor and motorsport industry. |

I see your side too M Coupe. I do. Because my work has come so close to folding too before, last year it came down to the boss selling his car to allow us to buy more material. All because the client we were working for is much larger than what we are and think they can bully us. We're still waiting on this money coming in as legal action is ongoing at the moment.
Sorry though that your friends have to be involved, it isn't that nice on that personal a level. Now, much like my work do, certain companies just won't work at all for Walkinshaw or demand to be paid pro rata. |

There could be a pulse to Volvo efforts outside the US...but seems doubtful. TWR did a fine job for the swedes back in the early 90's BTCC, though. |
