With the experience of Oreca gained with the Vipers I expect the S7R to become more reliable next year (at least the Oreca-ones) so this may develop into a "Oreca vs. Prodrive"-battle in the various GT1-grids? |

Hasnt the development of the Saleens been a bit stagnant though? I know ACEMCO have been developing their one in the ALMS but the car is getting on abit, is there much still to be squeezed out? Especially as this is for just one year, can we really expect the Saleens to sudenly leap to the front of the grid?

Agreed - I was quite surprised by the press release saying that the S7R was really successful (although obviously it was bound to!). I'm not a great follower, but always had the impression it never really delivered on promise...?
Hopefully the Oreca investment will bring some new blood to the car |

Now We'll see a whole new brand in GT5, Oreca, under france, with the 2004 Audi R8 (i've seen screens of this car, it has the 2004 Body, not like the Joest R8 in GT4) and a 2005 Oreca Saleen S7R. I say this because of the partnership between Playstation and Oreca, and they should just take the R8 livery and put it on the S7R

Xbox was on the Belmondo Courages (and Vipers) this year.. Too bad the Vipers are more of a "rent a ride" now..

I think when the right drivers were in the Konrad cars, they were quick! And I think with Oreca now behind it, and providing they do have the right drivers, I think the Saleen can be more then competitive. All it needs is that final push...

Alright, its a little off topic, but does Terry Borcheller have a contract with Saleen or just has a thing for Driving the S7R. my memory isn't the greatest of years before 2003 (i was 13 then) but didnt he drive for RRR/Speedlab when they ran it, then there was one ran by a team in GARRA that he drove, and now ACEMCO. if this is all right, does that raise any eyebrows. and now that Gran Turismo 4 is out, who is going to sponser the back banner on the tires of the first Chicanne on the Muslanne straight?
