Race wins aren't the only determinator of performance? Montoya had a good start to the year then fell off a cliff. First to crash out at Indy, crashed at Detroit, gave us the spin cycle show at Watkins Glen...his one lap pace is usually the worst of the 4 Penske drivers as well.
Last year was rather illusory, he had 1 podium finish after Indy and the rest of the field was far more inconsistent. Pagenaud, for example, had yet to convert his speed into results for a variety of reasons. |

Newgarden quits ECR. There's no confirmation of where he's headed but Penske would be the obvious choice.

Tony DiZinno says that Carpenter should hire JR Hildebrand. Montoya would be another great choice.

Great news for Indycar and AA. Hoepfully Honda keep improving in 2017 and Rossi will be in victory lane more often |

I'm glad for Newgarden. It would be good to have JPM back, if not he can always switch to sportscars, he impressed in his test last season

So in the DW12 era, Ganassi used Honda engines in 2012-13, Chevrolet in 2014-16, and again Honda in 2016.

Interesting to note that Ganassi won the driver's championship with Scott Dixon twice the DW12 era. First in 2013, when they were using Honda engines and again in 2015, when they switched to Chevrolet. |

Andretti Autosport have confirmed 4 cars for next season. 3 of their drivers are already confirmed. Regarding the 4th entry, Rob Edwards says "We're hopeful of keeping (Carlos Munoz), but there are two or three others we are speaking to in case Carlos does something different." http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/13...-cars-for-2017
Meanwhile, AJ Foyt Racing will have Chevrolet Engines next year. Larry Foyt says the contract is yet to be finalized "but it looks like we're headed that way." http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/13...witch-to-chevy |

Would he be one of the "2 or 3 others" at Andretti? Who else does have a Honda seat? Coyne maybe? |

Rahal Letterman Lanigan 7) Graham Rahal Ganassi 8) Scott Dixon 9) Tony Kanaan 10) Charlie Kimball 11) Max Chilton (?)
