yeah the change in qualifying format didn't help the slip-streaming. Bored with that already!
Great qualifying for Tom B - really chuffed with that. |

Doesn't bode well for your enjoyment of the WTCC this year, does it Matt?
There was a lot of talk about the cars working together slipstreaming, that just doesn't seem to be happening at BMW, despite cars being run by different teams they should work together better. Also, it's great to have a Touring Car series back in action again. |

That qualifying session was far more boring than I can remember the old style being last year. It didn't help that the camera man kept on focusing on cars on slow down laps.
I didn't expect it - but I have to say that Felix Porteiro and Pro-Team have really impressed me so far - they already look like they are quite capable of running for consistent overall points finishes. Great job by Boardman as well |

SEAT 1-5, nice domination there.
However, wasn't so much the car as everyone's stupid strategy. No one got their act together in that final session other than SEAT. With Jorg Muller and Rob Huff out setting their own laps with no tow's, it's the other teams own fault that SEAT walked all over them. |

Kind of a shame though, pretty much guaranteed a win in bpoth races now that they have the monopoly of the grid, top three will race, otehrs will trya nd hold up then go for second race pole!
We need two more manufactureres at least to try and split up this rubbish It's like DTM, damn shame! |

Unless there is a Seat Sport scrap heap after the first corner, Seat should have the podium locked out for the first race, but I bet a certain BMW driver will be thinking more about being in a pole position to take a 2nd race home win.

Does anybody know if coverage of the races will be streamed on the WTCC website this year like it was in the past? Some of us can't really afford digital tv at the moment.

Thanks FIRE. I'd hoped it would be on their site again but they've redone it and io couldn't find anything. Hope this works then.
Portiero was just behind Hernandez in quali, I would love it is he could beat him in the race, try to proove BMW wrong. |

Seat's dominance is killing the championship, they need to be stopped somehow. I'm not going to watch a Seat parade anymore, on wet track they were just stunning, go on the power and pass poor BMWs. Yeah, clear team effort, that one... Puig is only right

I don't see the Bureau being able to stick to this rule that if the cars are within 3 tenths of each other there's no change.
The SEAT's were obviously quicker / better even if the fastest laps say otherwise. |

Found todays races to be pretty boring to be honest and exactly what i was expecting, Seat domination with BMW lagging a little way behind with chevrolet not quite having their act together just yet. The situation in the WTCC is similar to the situation we have in LMP racing at the moment, the rules favour diesel powered machinery, the FIA needs to address the performance gap between petrol and diesel engined cars. IMO.

No they were not. Chevy where just unlucky and BMW teams royally screwed up wet setups on all but 2 cars. J Müller went from 20th on the grid to 5th, easily passing the 4 BMW starting at grid 1-4. Amazing how people keep blaming Seat for BMW screwing up...

BTW put together a small table to aid people in seeing the facts of actual car performance instead of getting lost in teams not being able to work as a team or just being unlucky (like eg Chevy in race 1). Weight = the weight compensation for next race if there WOULD be any such thing next race.
