JamesC if you want to photgraph on the rally you need to contact me ASAP so I can accredit you.
The details on the website are all correct - but don't rely on previous knowledge as this years stages are very different (well some of them) The reason for the odd names is that in previous years we ran two speccie access stages Bedgebury and Kingswood, this time we are running multiple variants in the same forests so the names are to differentiate between them. You'll notice that there are some maps missing - these are stages that the organisers would prefer to keep free from spectators to ensure the rally runs well. Bedgebury is well signposted - and appears on most roadmaps - marked national pinetum or similar. You should not need an OS map. You must remember this rally is organised by clubmen trying to put something back into the sport. Everything is done in peoples free time - we do all have jobs. Come to kent - its a great rally, and the more motorsport fans there the better. By the way its gonna be a cracking event the entire top 3 from 2004 are back, as is the 2000 winner, as s the meanest rally car of them all the Hartfield special (its got an engine 1.1 litres bigger than andy burtons and is a similar chassis) My money is on car 2. I'm charging my camera batteries now as I'm sure there will be lots of action some of which will be seen in Classic Ford in a few months...strangely the local papers seemed very uninterested in the countys largest motorspoting event-weird!

If the Hatfield car starts I`ll be surprised - it`s entered the last half a dozen Rallies I`ve been to and I don`t recall it starting any of them!!! If it does start and you want to see it then go to Challock - if it lasts more than 2 stages I`ll be amazed!!!

Well it started...unsurprisingly it didn't finish!! It made it to 3 and 4...Rogley,although don't know how much further it got.
Glad there was a corner at the top of the hill Baz, would have been a long old walk for some more straight stuff!!! |

Well, I take it back - it actually ran!! One of the more impressive cars... It came past me "pre-stage-split" at Challock on SS7 but that was it... never appeared again for SS8. It was probably already ailing by this point as a friend positioned half a mile up the stage from me said it went straight off where he was before rejoining.
Trying to find some results online at the mo` - can`t seem to though - I believe Nicholls/Broom won it (as expected to be honest). |

Chezza, considering I had no idea whatsoever where half the stages were-didn't have any info on me other than the "spectators guide" which only list a couple - I didn't do to bad. I was heading towards Headcorn area with fuel getting low and no money or credit cards on me (my £10 was left at HQ for a tabard!) I was getting worried when 2 cars heading for Hempstead past me the other way. Did a quick U-turn and caught them up (cos' I'm quick) and found them turning into Hempstead stage which was handy! That was knackering quick walk to the 1st corner what with the cars flat out past me every few seconds-you could of held them up for a few minutes! Anyway got some great shots with a few cars on their side etc at Kingswood-can't wait till' next year!!

They had already been held up by some yobbish spectators. Sorry...they would have started a minute earlier, but car 1 wanted to go on their provisional start time!

I did and you said you'd be there from about 06.30 onwards so i got there at 07.00 and it seems you were still fast asleep. Waited for ages and thought I'd better get to the stage before the last car came through!!! I admit there was a problem regarding a bib-the other half put it somewhere whilst clearing up and havn't seen it since. When it does surface you will definately get it back but you know what women are like!!!!!!
