The Levy brothers are pushing hard to improve the TC2000, but their drivers list is still not that great.
Meanwhile, the ACTC could have issues with TV rights, as the elected president Milei has promised to privatize TVP Channel 7. |

To my eyes the Mustang looks a much better designed and constructed car than the other three models, they kind of look like modified versions of the previous cars where as the Mustang looks completely new.

The Camaro is a Camaro front with a traditional TC rear. I get the impression it's the same for the Dodge. But maybe I am wrong, I have seen only a few photos. |

The Camry shows up with the other 3 and only the Torino left (that one will take a couple months), my take? The Toyota will be, between the new ones, the faster one in straight line, and the Dodge the slow one.
Small edit to say: the Challenger is LOW Last edited by TuteZaek; 2 Dec 2023 at 12:00. |

If they've gone to the effort of introducing new cars, why are they using the old Mustang?

I think it's because of the logistics of sourcing the panels that they didn't change, and don't be surprised if some of the builds in for 2025 change for the new model |

The Challenger's side shape is clearly an old TC, but I'll take it anyway.

It actually uses Chally's panels for everything... nothing to do with the old models, the problem is that the challenger ended being so low that kinda looks like the old dodge (and also that the chally actually looks like an old dodge on purpose)

And the news are up: The Turismo Nacional and Turismo Pista left ACA's CDA fiscalization to go with the ACTC's CAF, allegedly because the CDA blocked both categories from using SUV to mantain the TC2000 exclusivity (Among other problems with the CDA)
That leaves the TC2000 and Top Race (and Formula Nacional) as the only "nationals" on CDA's umbrella. Edit: On the SUV rumor, there were talks about a new bigger class to Turismo Pista and SUV use on the TN (with turbo engines also mentioned briefly) for at least 2 years, and in theory, TP already had a ruleset ready to go (on the rumors at least) but the TC2000 put that on hold |

The ACA CDA does pretty much nothing for auto racing. It's the promoters and teams doing the heavy lifting.

Whats weird is that, according to rumors, the ACA offered the CDA position to the ACTC CAF, and Mazzacane said no, because there was already too much on their plate. |

Diego Azar won't continue in Top Race. He complains that Pirelli changed compounds mid-season, so some drivers had an advantage.

And the CDA-ACTC war is on, with the CDA sending a protest to both categories (TP and TN) saying that they can't go to ACTC and that the CDA is the only body responsible for ruling motorsport and that they and only they decide who is the ruling body of a series

The new president Milei is a Reagan-style deregulator, for example he's about to allow foreign ships to transport goods between Argentine ports.
So I wouldn't be surprised if he encourages competition between sports organizations as the Americans do. |

I see that Stockcar Brasil are changing their cars to SUV platforms, will the regulation be close enough to TC200 for the cars to race against each other?

Stock Car uses silhouettes, like the TC and Top Race, though much more modern.

Not directly touring cars, but in another chapter of the CDA-ACTC war the ACTC won another battle and the (now former) Formula Nacional (Ex Formula Renault, Formula Renault 2.0, Formula 2.0, Formula Pirelli... most of the name changes were from the last few years) is leaving the CDA and TC2000 and from 2024 onwards will acompany the TC using the name Formula 2 Nacional.
The move was made possible by consent of every team involved in the series. In retaliation, the ACA/CDA announced that they will not extend international licences for drivers (Mostly teenagers starting their carreers) that participate in the "new" formula, with a lot of drivers, including Vivian (From TC2000, a CDA series) criticising the CDA's move because "the only thing it does is hurting the drivers and makes sure that the series will not come back" As of last year, the Formula Nacional had really few cars and its "formative task" was dubious at best because of the slim paddock, with most of the young drivers going to the Formula 3 Metropolitana (Another CDA series) as a first step to the national series. So, as of now, in the national level, the CDA is left with the TC2000 and Top Race (and their respective support series minus the Formula Nacional) on the touring car scene, and the Argentine Rally Championship and the Argentine Rallycross championship (that is mostly dead, with only two races in the last two years). The first two and the Rallycross are owned by Tango Motorsport, the Levy's bussines. There is also the Sport Prototipo Argentino (former GT2000) a small prototype series that recently turned national level and is trying to get stronger.
