2 more laps and Malukas possibly had that first win. Had a moment a couple times but man he kept it going and said find around the outside if I must. Hate the track cleaning delays but the rain made it look worthwhile with multiple lanes working.

But Newgarden had everyone it seemed, I only caught the last bit before the rain and the end but looked like he was on it all evening

That was Josef Newgarden's 5th win this season and Rookie, David Malukas's first podium finish.

For the first 146 laps, that wasn't the most scintillating race, as the field turned into a 165mph train due to fuel saving. It wasn't until after the first FCY, which up until then had been dominated by Will Power, that the race started to come alive, as the teams were presented with a strategy dilemma; either stop, gain fresh tires but lose track position, or stay out. The red flag was annoying but couldn't be helped and it didn't detract from the race.

58 points separate the top seven in the driver's table, with two races left.

Finished the last 43 laps during lunch. That was a decent showing, mostly from Malukas but was some decent action in the last segment.

The points battle is going to be fun!!
