Funnily enough Simon, I'd love to do it. My perception of LM is that the "Racing" comes second to the whole experience thing - and the social side of things!

The TT slot in the timetable for this weekend is for the arrival of the trophy in a convoy for the RAC building in central London, as has been the case in recent times.

We'll be turning up sometime on Friday after hospital appointment. Hope we will be able to get into the Wing. Has been quite difficult at similar events in the past.

Wow, what a great day today was. Was on a post outside of hangar straight and even without anything to do, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Few things of note... I forgot my Silverstone marshal lanyard and do you think the second lot of security guards would let me in, even though I had my MSA book and car pass?! Ended up flagging down some marshals at the entrance and thankfully, the first car I flagged had spare tickets! Felt like perfect karma for the endless tickets I always seem to be giving away each Saturday night that nobody wants!

Great company on post, can't wait for Britcar now, have got a serious endurance racing bug in the last couple of years!

Start Line

Thank you to all the startline & pit marshals for a great weekend - what a great team pulling together in a long and wet, but incident packed, weekend and for surviving my lengthy briefings. I could not have asked more from you - and you all delivered to such a high standard.

Also for putting up with having to be in two places at once - and for helping me out when I missed the bus!

Thank you also for the incident teams (& Rob C in the JCB) for, once again, providing us with great back up and particularly to Rob J, Owen and Adrian.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Nina

In the WEC Race, what was the 2nd full course yellow for? I couldn't hear the comms and the post chief didn't know from his radio!

Car 26 the G-Drive Nissan and 81 the Orange Ferrari had a coming together into Village, car 26 left his engine cover and wheel arch in the centre of the track.

The strong wind blew it to the edge but still needed clearing

Great day, loved every minute, some great battles in all classes

The regs stated that they would not allow pitstops within the 1st 3 laps of a safety car being deployed. With the prospect or rain and slicks, they decided a full course yellow would all pitstops to take place and the debris to be collected.

Great weekend at Copse In, if we forget about Saturday afternoon!
Many thanks to Glen, my fellow rag and stick merchant.
Thanks to driver of Porsche 88, Saturday, and Josh Hill, Sunday, for making sure we had woken up at the start of both days!

Hi

Don't suppose anyone knows of the Post Chief who was on Club Outside for the WEC at the weekend? I left him with my PRC and all my signatures!

PM me with details.

Much obliged.

It should have been Jon Tillott, Penny from silverstone asked me the same question yesterday so she may have been in touch with him already.
