Why would Romano give his licence to Waldons to use when he has people trying to give him money to run it themselves?
Fabian is not at Tasman, but it should be out soon about who has the seat.
Imries licence is tied up with Bright.

There is talk of a former driver pushing someones barrow at Tasman. I can't think who it would be but if true i'm sure it will come out soon.

I think that you will all be very surprised where the franchises fall over the next month.

Interestingly, as in Tiko's first post, since Larry doesn't own a license any more, he has no claim to number 11.

But I'm sure his mate Gorey will look after him. It'd seem strange to see anything other than a Perkins car wearing that number. Kind of like anything except a DJR Falcon wearing 17
The only number that I know of in Australian motorsport that is 'owned' by the driver other than the owner/drivers is #05 that was officially retired by CAMS when Peter Brock retired in 1997. Although I don't think I can see one of the Perkins cars without #11 or onr of the DJR cars without #17.

The other thing i can't understand is why does the Konica numbers differ from the Main Series numbers. If Andrew Jones races in the second series next year, why can't he use #1 when the car he drives in the second series will not race in the Main Series.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
its in the rules crowstar

no 1 always bekongs to the previous years main series championship

in theory a development series car (konica minolta) can race at sandown and bathurst and as a result would use their number from that series

http://foxsports.news.com.au/story/0...-23770,00.html

I think that just about rules out Will Davison now that he's looking at F3000 Euro Series.

A couple of other things I believe won't happen:

-Perkins 3 cars [Nash, themselves, Romano] (If they found having 3 cars was too restrictive on testing this year, then I'd imagine that next year would be simillar)
-Ellery 2 Cars (I doubt that they are flushed with cash to run 1 car with SC gonzo. How would they get a 2nd car)
-Whincup is NO chance of getting in at Tasman
-Owen Kelly just about confirmed at Bright, Luff may yet stay at DJR if Junior goes.

Depends on the new funding, if they get a sponsor willing to commit to a two car team they can.

Hey Barney. I heard the same thing about a week ago - someone that may or may not know anything mentioned it to me. I didn't post anything at the time - no evidence - but interesting to hear it from somewhere else. I also heard that if he got an offer elsewhere that 888 would let him go! Is there still anywhere else for Max to go this late?

I hope it is true - would love to see Canto in that car next year. I heard he was doing pretty much the same lap times at Monday's testing in last years car as Max was in his current one.

After Dean's drive at the mountain this year, I have to agree with aj_308. I would love to see #888 Lowndes/Canto on the Bathurst entry list in 2005.

There's more chance of Warren Luff going to Tasman than Whincup, who clearly is not up to it.
