I agree. And don't really think the Nurburgring during the autumn is a good idea for sunset race, as we have seen with the Endurance races in the past at that place. I can remember a lot of fog...

I think endurance racing should do more at night tbh. I'd even consider a Bathurst style early start for some darkness.

I don't think I can enjoy anything at Paul Ricard.

Now I do agree with the Bathurst style morning start, that is always cool. Probably doesnt quite work for a 3hr race though

I love the Bathurst start...something very different.

tbh though on a whole I don't like races that are purely night races...its crap on TV and hard to identify cars

Pierre-Alexandre Jean and Seb Morris will race together in the Pro class of the Endurance part, with a third driver yet to be announced. Erwin Creed and Romano Ricci will be behind the wheel of the second car in Endurance (Am Cup).

Jules Gounon and Pierre-Alexandre Jean will be entered in Pro for the Sprint segment, while the other car will race in Pro-Am.

Little tracker update.

14 cars in Sprint, 26 in Endurance so far.... (Yes I know WRT will run more than 2 cars, but they have only announced 'multiple' cars so far so numbers TBC)

Probably one of the most diverse grids in terms of manufacturers in years so far, endurance- 5 AMG's, 5 Porsches, 5 Bentleys, 3 Astons, 2 Mclarens, 2 Lexi', 2 Audis....

Team Lazarus who ran in the Endurance cup last year have just been announced as the latest team to swap to Bentleys, with a pair of cars to be entered in two yet to be announced championships. Itd be crazy to see yet another pair of Bentleys in GTWC!

Isn't it a slightly odd choice as the car certainly wasn't the most competitive out there.

Perhaps these additional entrants know something we don't? Have MSport have been tipped off that the car will receive a ballast reduction for the new season or something?

Bentley were pretty heavily restricting customer programmes last year, and have opened up this year, so that might explain some of it.

But your right, doesnt explain the popularity given its very average show in 2019

Execution will be another story. It was horrible in 2019 in the endurance races at least. Barcelona has to be the worst GTWC Endurance race in the history of SRO.

Indeed. Last couple of years has been pretty weak. 2019 was bad.

Isn't it the same group of stewards, and other staff that put on the IGTC races as well? I remember a lot of caution periods for Barcelona, but I can't remember exactly what all of the outrage was about at Barcelona. Was it because of the penalty on the Lambo? I had thought that was fairly justified since he had pulled onto the pit road exit to make the pass.

There was some stuff going on with the Black Falcon Mercedes too, not getting a penalty for a pass outside the track or something like that.
Also the last few minutes were total chaos because a lot of drivers just forgot how to drive a race car.
