I don't think I've ever seen so many speeding in pit lane violations in one race before.

These Ginettas ... a legality panel has been knocked off one of them, safety car just as the top two were pitting. Looks like TDS will benefit having got out just before the pit lane was under red.

And what exactly just happened to the #27 car? And why?

Lost it under braking at turn 1 and slammed into the barriers, just after the restart. Not sure why

Half of the SCs so far have been caused by a ginetta leaving its bodywork, and there's been at least 2 others with bodywork issues. I'm worried when the other P3s show up that the Ginetta will look a little silly.

to be fair to him he's left some dirty great big stripes from what looks like just the back end on the tarmac - is it normal to lock up like that? isn't it usually front or all 4?

Yet another beached car. #59 TDS BMW Z4 kind of forgetting its braking point, or had the brakes just given up?

What’s the record for penalties in a four hour race?

What a great battle for the GTE lead… and then there’s a penalty. Imagine that.

Jota wins. Well deserved, also considering the advantage they lost from the first two safety cars. First podium for the BR01 too

Can't say that wasn't fair. With Jota apparently being the only team that could keep their car out of the gaze of the stewards, they deserved the victory for that alone. Great job by Mac in the Formula 458 to snatch the victory on the last lap.

bum steer on my behalf sorry, it was the angle. i went and had a look and there was a very neat right front stripe all the way to where he put a hole in the lower bit of armco.
it just seemed like a bizarre place to lose it, and in an odd way. i wish series would act when you have weekends with so many penalties. especially the 'not obeying the marshals' ones. that's a very serious thing to be guilty of, much like improving and overtaking under yellows. again though, another very entertaining race - elms proving that sportscar racing really isn't dull. |

It's so amazing to see our team using our car on the podium! We could only dreaming about it in the times when Aleksei Vasiliev was leading the way into endurance racing 15 years ago. Of course, this third place is done due to some mistakes by competitors, but what a great stint Aleshin had in the beginning. And what the pace BR could have if using Dunlops?
PS Britains with a British car, Frenchmen with a French - just a better variant of A1 GP ) |

The BR project only needs patience.
What happened to the Proton 911? It was leading with Lietz and dropped many places. |

Don't have that moment, but look at this: The marshal with the flag was stepping next to the 25's front right corner, when the #37 rocketed past.. don't think they got a penalty for it Last edited by Ephaeton; 12 Jul 2015 at 18:05. |

What perplexes me is why no one but Eurasia pitted under the first sc. Went from 5th to 1st by 20s and held it until inevitably the bronze was caught by the Gold.

Also their Seat Leon headlights got dislocated for no reason and wobbled about and/or fell out in every race I've seen them. I wonder how they got through Silverstone 24h with that issue.

I criticised the Ginettas for speed before and I was possibly a bit harsh given how early in the development these cars were. However build quality isn't something you tend to "find", and the Ginettas seem particularly fragile. Lots of cars had minor off road moments, but these turned into huge issues for the LMP3s. I'm worried that when the other cars roll out, the Ginettas will get pushed to the side and that's the last we'll see of them.

They're ginettas though, of course they're fragile, it's been the case with everything they produce. Sadly I think the legier is going to leave it for dead.
