I went to Monza about 5 years ago. Incredible place. Not really an amazing track, but just the atmosphere and history.
By money would be heading towards that. Fly into Milan airport, then its not too far to Monza park. |

Was just thinking the same myself. No GPs I can afford to hit up yet, although if I get a job in the northeast, Canadian GP here I come. But it is kinda nice being a short drive away from Road Atlanta in the fall.

I went to Spa last year (my second Grand Prix) and whilst talking about it last weekend, the memories made the hairs on my arms stand on end thinking about it. I had general admission and we watched from the hill after Kemmel. It's a good place to watch the race itself as you have a screen opposite you and so can see moves going into Les Combes clearly and then follow them on the screen.
I'm going to Silverstone this year. |

Which ever is cheapest! None of them are that far away really. I'm flying to Malpensa when I go in April, which when I looked the other day was about 60km from the circuit.
I think Linate and Bergamo are both closer. When I looked at flights the cheapest was with Ryanair to Bergamo, however as their baggage allowances are rubbish and I need to take equipment with me I'd rather pay £20 or so more and not get stung for excess baggage charges etc. This may not be such a concern for you. |

I'll have a fairly large tent with me, so I'll need all the baggage allowance I can get! An airport close to a railway station that goes straight to Monza would be ideal.
Not wishing to high jack the thread of course, but it could be useful information! |

Go and watch Superbikes or something instead, and get more value, more racing, better atmosphere, better grid girls, nicer people.

Seen WSB a few times at Brands, as well as BSB. Great fun. Can't make the Brands Indy meeting next month for the BSB, unfortunately. Will certainly be going to the August one, though
Yeh, some useful information here guys - thanks alot! Still really not sure what to choose from, though. Selby |

ECW Dan Selby , I don't believe you have ever posted in the Sportscar forum. I have been to five times as many Le Mans races than GP and if you get the chance then go to Le Mans, but do yourself a favour and spend this £500 on a GP - that is what will send the shivers down your spine.

Well I haven't had a £500 bonus myself, but thanks to all the overtime I did last month my pay was quite a bit bigger than normal... and what better way to celebrate than by booking tickets to Monza?
Haven't been to an F1 race since 2008, so should be great... |

why bother with planes if you're worried about baggage allowance?

I'd too vote for Hungaroring. Been there 3 times and didn't regret a bit!
I had tickets at Bronze, Gold1 and Super Gold and tried almost everyother stands during free practices. All grandtands have giant TV screens, screens that aren't really visible from general admission areas. Super Gold is kinda boring, other than the pits you won't see anything else but it's covered and believe me, it's a huge advantage in the Hungarian scorching sun. Besides, the engine noises reflected by the pits and the roof make your ears bleed Gold 1 is good for start drama and also offers decent view of the second half of the track. Other than being closer to the gates and parking lots Bronze sucks, don't pick that one. Gold 4 is close to the end of the main straight and might be a good choice (turn 1 is really interesting); Silver1 is interesting too. Godollo really is a cute resort but you may want to also give Budapest a try. |

What's happening with this, Dan?
I got tickets for Silverstone. 3 days, camping and grandstand seats at the Maggots/Becketts complex. |

How much mate? Silverstone might just be the easiest option.
I spent a fair bit at a very messy Brands Hatch this weekend.... Selby |

Way too much!
700 quid in all for 2 of us, 600 for the grandstand seats and 100 for the camping. Much more expensive than my general admission 3-dayer to Spa last year mate (almost twice as much actually on the tickets alone). |
