My clearest memory of Belle Isle is Mauricio Gugelmin climbing over Patrick Carpentier's car and rolling over during the 1999 event

As for Belle Isle was a good CART event IMO. I liked the layout and it was also a good layout for the event. It was one of the better events compared to the first Detroit CART race after they took over from F1 there and other F1 street races other then Long Beach.
