No I meant prodrive, with Frosty and Chaz appearing for BMW in the 12 hour last year and Chaz is going around again, but like many makes, would BMW want to race Opel's?

Honda race cars do look good though must admit.

I thought BMW made it pretty clear they were not interested?

And that was coming from the mothership in Germany.

My understanding (I stand to be corrected) was that Peugeot Citroen (PSA) had purchased all of GMs Euro brands ie Vauxhall, Opel, in March 2017 meaning in essence that GM had withdrawn from the European Market completely.

Lowndes’ two-year extension takes the now 43-year-old to the end of 2019, but he and team owner Roland Dane will hold a performance review at the end next year to gauge whether he runs the duration of the term as a full-time driver.

If Mr Lowndes is involved in the last race of the last round again, and is involved in an incident that may alter the outcome of the championship, Mr Lowndes might just be kept on..

Agree, that seems to be his role these days, why else did they keep him on in a separate team with his mainly poor performance this year.

Because he finished 4th in the 2016 title, and it makes no sense to punt a driver of his record after one poor season.

Besides, if Lowndes goes does that third entry even still exist?

Possibly not.... Without beating around the bush, everyone knows Craig is a cash cow, has always been a cash cow, and forever will be a cash cow.
Just like Brock, he'll end up getting wheeled out every now and again to sell more shirts or have another crack at something.

Old story floating around goes that when Craig found out the Skaife was getting a bigger cut of the merchandise sales back at HRT, he wanted in on that action...

I wanna know where the third WAU REC comes from.

Personally, I think these lists should be hinged off the likelihood of events actually occurring, rather than wishful thinking.

Not massive, no, but surprising considering they can use the FG-X until 2020. And surprising because I dont see any other marques beating the door down to join the party.

Why is the Supercars website pedaling a speculative story like this?

Maybe another attempt to draw attention to Fords lack of involvement and maybe try and embarrass them into staying?

If i was to google kia and supercars, the wording seems to be they are interested and have had discusions with teams.

However i read an article (its mosty likely linked in the next gen thread) to suggest they would be intetrested, but not in stumping up big dolllars to support/sponsor

I reallly think the series will stuggle to survive in its current format without a "ford". would take a massive downsizing
