Davhut should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think Jr. will eventually go to Childress when his former trophy queen ex step mother won't relinquish the controls of DEI, Inc and I hope he then buys RCR and starts DEI, Jr, Inc.
Then beats the former Mrs. Dale into a silent past.
Nothing I like less than trophy queens with control!

Not meaning to offend anyone but I'm just wondering what the big deal about Dale Jr is? Why does everyone like him so much? Is it only coz his last name is Earnhardt? He might be the most popular driver but he wouldn't be the most talented.

Earnhardt Jr. is one of my favorite drivers, but I find it very hard to explain why he is - there are just so many factors playing into it. Obviously the Earnhardt name plays a big part, but to say that it's "only coz" of it is far from the truth.

I'd say talent isn't the lone reason you cheer for a driver in NASCAR - there is so much more to it.

To fully understand you probably need to have followed NASCAR quite a few years and need at least some knowledge about the great history and heritage involved in NASCAR which in many ways is richer and more complex than even Formula 1.

The tragedy of Jnr's father's death stood firmly entrenched in the minds of American & World motorsport fans for months, & even now a lot of people still talk about it.

It is of no surprise what so ever that Jnr has the following he does in current Nascar as Americans love & thrive on tradition & most would dearly love to see him replicate his fathers & grandfathers success, to do it away from DEI would be so much sweeter & only because of who's controlling it now.

I say grab you're fathers number Jnr,win with it,& rub it right in her face.

... Didn't mean to offend anyone by saying "only coz", or any of the other stuff.

First off: He has personality (Jimmie Johnson fans know what I'm talking about), he has tallent, he's not afraid to stick it to the other guy (Eh Carl?) and he's a decent Earnhardt son.

What's not to like?

Dudley has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Regardless I can't help but think that both DEI and Dale would get worse results without the other.

My feeling is about the same, but more like I think that both Dale and his team/crew would get worse results without the other.

I think Dale's relationship with crew chief Tony Eury Jr. is probably one of the STRONGEST in the sport. They're cousins, so it's also like working with family (Eury, Jr's father, Eury, Sr. also is part of Dale's team). After the 2005 season when DEI had the 8 and 15 teams switched (Although in reality, it's more like the drivers and the car owners switched teams), Michael Waltrip did benefit some, but barely. If you guys remember 2005, it was a HORRENDOUS season for Dale Jr.

Like I said, I can't see Dale and Tony Jr. splitting and doing as good or better than they are together.

Tony Eury Jr has already said that he would leave DEI if Junior wasn't signed on again, if he went to a place like RCR with Eury Jr i think he could be just as successful, if not, more succesful.

Good. Last thing I'd want to see is Tony Jr. wasting away at DEI without Dale.
