When SPEED would break away from Sebrings and Petits of old, would Motors go away too? Perhaps this break is due to SPEED praying at the alter of NASCAR.

Motors are contracted to show highlights on the evening of every day at every WRC event. Its great to see that we are going to get the entire race live all but 45 minutes and i think Eurosport/ACO should be embarrassed that we are going to get more live coverage of 1 race than we had for the entire Le Mans Series championship.

Any word on if there's going to be a promotors test day/open test (or whatever it was) the weekend before the race, or has that been aborted for this year? Since '07 or '08 there was an open test the weekend before the race. I wonder if it's been ditched for this year because of cost issues and has been compressed into the race week.
Also, I know that it's early, but is the weather expected to make a major change--Atlanta's nearly in a drought and temps have been in the upper 80s/lower 90s for a while now, and the Weather Channel site takes us through Tuesday of next week and it's more of the same as I described so far. |

There will be testing this coming weekend. I'm sure teams will start arriving the middle of next. Some of the Patron Hospitality trailers were already there. I hope it get's cooler. I just got home from the HSR - Grand Prix of Atlanta event at Road Atlanta and it was pretty warm.
Also, Pat Long was driving a new GT-3 Cup Car running with histroic GTP cars, I think he was just testing the car for it's new owner (not sure). The race was won by Andy Wallace in the "Packer's of Indian River" Audi RS-8. Andy will be racing this car the weekend of Petit at Homestead in an HSR event. |

Spotter's Guide.com (Andy's) is usually available by the Monday or Tuesday the week of the event.
Last Turn Club's version (Mike's) is usually available by Wednesday, but with a number of additional cars on the grid, might not be finalized until Thursday. |

EI had a picture of the official poster on their site today. Looks good, but the story was that the Panoz made the poster.

Interesting that Dyson is at the fore in that pic. Didn't they flirt with Grand Am at the their last round?

Dyson's Grand Am program is separate from the ALMS program(which is set to continue into next season); Rob and Chris have said that numerous times

It's making me barely be able to contain for another 10 days, and the early forecast shows the temps sliding back down to normal low 80s. Sucks that my 360 has burned out again, or I'd be driving Road Atlanta almost non-stop this week.

Older 360's are going cheap, get them awhile there hot and still in stock. Otherwise the new 20% smaller 360 is a vast improvement.

Vliander and Bruni have won two FIA GT2 Championships together. But they alway want to make sure the #61 is on pace and stays with the #62, so by splitting the fastest drivers, they can assure that at least most of the race, barring anything stupid, both cars can stay in the Top 5 most of the day. |

Are Panoz definitely going to race in the 90's livery? That's really cool if true.
