Beausejour, first time attendance. Arriving Tuesday night, off the 11:30 - 18:30 Portsmouth to Le Havre crossing.

Hopefully shouldn't be too long a journey on the way to the circuit.

I'll try and make it along! Should be handy for getting our spot at Chapelle for the start.

The starting straight gets packed early but the circuit is big so you will always find a spot to watch the cars on the first lap, after 30 mins people are already moving around so never a problem, We only leave the campsite at tertre rouge a few minutes before the start

Can't change my vote, but I will now be in Garage Vert instead of BSJ. Much more central.

No, I reduced BSJ by one and added the Camping Vert (which was 0 at that point).

Edit - I see what you mean, the names remain unchanged - I can't change them. But the numbers are correct.

With the tram system these days it is probably easier to get to the circuit from the city centre than from the outlying campsites

Well the ACO said no campsites with electricity but most did have it. Tertre Rouge had new electricity stands a couple of years ago obn a first come basis, but you could then piggy back of others. However the ACO seem to think if they say elecricity is provided then all spots must have individual sockets. Aware eppinettes had problems this year.

I'd definitely go back to BSJ - having the option to walk down to the Porsche Curves in the morning with my stove and mokka pot was a real game changer.

The walk to the circuit wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and it was easy enough to nip out to Lidl in the car on Wednesday morning.

It really busied up by Friday and there was a real party atmosphere - again, I don't mind that (but can see how it might not be for everyone) - we did quite a bit of socialising and through this we got fed very well by our French neighbours on Sunday (always pays off to say hi).

Next time I go I'll bring a better tent with a porch area to keep dry, and maybe a fold up bicycle to get around - but I'd definitely go back to BSJ!

Clos Fleuri was very quiet over the whole week, I actually slept every night without earplugs. Down side, it is a little far from the track but my folding bike was a great addition to my gear.
Again ACO did not a good job, this area is not prepared for camping, and certainly not for cars driving on it. The way yo the tents was a absolute mess and muddy, cars got stuck and had to be towed out. With so much rain and the area more like a swamp you should think the last ACO could do is put roadplates before arrival to prevent trouble.
I'm again not impressed.
