Indeed, nobody can take away the Webber win. He earned it fair and square.
The problem lies with the muppets running the sport who pass things as legal and then ban them anyways. The mass damper episode in 2006 was an absolute disgrace, Renault being allowed to use the system for a full calendar year and then being told to remove it once it looked like they were getting a bit dominant. At least the holey floor episode has been dealt with reasonably quickly I suppose, in F1 terms. |

Another part on the Red Bull has been declared illegal eventhough they have been using it all season. It is to do with holes in the hubs that were thought to be for cooling but now the FIA say they are giving an aerodynamic advantage that is illegal.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/100230 However most teams have aerofoil shaped pieces on the wheel hubs that are still legal that to me break the same rule. |

It looked set to be another appeal by the teams, so Red Bull cover those bits up too, Vettel goes out and still sets his 32nd pole, what straws will the other teams clutch at next?

I prefer the term 'no longer legal'
More accurate and without the inference of evil doing |

The other teams are correct though, the brake ducts are a moveable aerodynamic device and the holy floor was a hole in the floor so illegal. Just because some scrutinisers don't spot it doesn't make it legal |

What i don't understand (but then, i'm never going to be an F1 engineer) is the Red Bull holes being banned, yet the Merc holes in the rear wing being allowed? |

All teams complain and appeal when they feel a rival team is getting an advantage from something they hadn't thought of and can't impliment in their owns cars. Its the nature of the sport and Red Bull are as guilty as Ferrari and McLaren when it comes to requesting clarification. In this instance Red Bull have explored an avenue that is outside the sporting regulations and are required to modify their cars to suit. Vettel has secured pole and there is no problem. |

http://scarbsf1.wordpress.com/2012/0...hole-legality/ Indeed, Red Bull had asked the FIA to confirm that their design was legal, and the FIA agreed in writing that it was legal. That is why the FIA had to change the rules by re-wording them to make the holes illegal. |
