Tank test at african village, slow times, but sure to win as other competiters are "knocked" out the way.

The Donington FF was, I think, 1984. I was spectating from hollywood when it happened. Missed most of the accident, but I do remember the Ambulance men's faces when they noticed the damage to the blue light.
I always thought the driver was Peter Rogers, but someone recently told me it wasn't. Can't remember who he said it was, though. |

The FF1600 at Redgate was many years ago-I'm sure the driver was an American if I remember correctly...the Redgate veiwing was changed after that strangely!

My husband was at Donington on the day of the FF incident (at post 1) so he had a grandstand view. Apparently, the incident started round about post 1. Two vehicles interlocked wheels causing one to start cartwheeling, nose over gearbox. The car hit the grass, then the wall, then the catch fencing and came to rest behind the gate at Regate, after having removed the blue light from the top of the ambulance.
The driver suffered nothing worse than a cracked ankle bone. My husband thinks that the driver was Sandy Brodie, who later went on to do F3 for a short while. |

I have several (home-made) video montages of crashes set to music (I know, I need a life!!!) however they are rather big 25Mb+ downloads. But if there's interest I'll put them on a web server somewhere and make them available.
The video clips were mainly sourced from FameFlame (none of the "darkside" clips are used) and so the quality of some clips is a bit iffy as they were taped off TV and then digitised. And yes... I will make the "Stephen Green/Benny Hill" video available on request Last edited by MagnetON; 4 Apr 2004 at 20:53. |

The 'Slight Accident' was close enough for me. I am the marshal at the back with the Fire Extinguisher.

I admire the Optimism of the Flag marshal at the incident involving the Hill Climbing Porsche. Having seen the speed and power of cars on Euro Hill Climb 'corses', I doubt any following car would be able to stop in time once it had rounded that bend! Regards, Jim lamb |
