I race in classic F3 and am a 'one-man' band. The cars cost about £10k, but then running costs are quite low, and many of the cars have interesting history. Its quite easy to find one that whose original driver went on to F1 etc. For the cost of the car they are very fast, and all the drivers can be trusted in 'side by side' battles etc.

I know at Donington Park there was a couple of Ex Mansell March's the ex Piquet Ralt and an ex Lammers Ralt amongst others.
The series gets to race at some good circuits including Donington Park, Brands GP and Spa. There are also chances to race in the equivalent french series, a number of cars are going to the historic Pau meeting next month. A visit to the next round at Silverstone, May 17/18 might be a good idea for you. Have a look around and talk to the drivers, they seem a friendly and helpful group. |

One of the Unipart cars (Brett Rileys) was for sale last year, and I think it still is. If you want to find out more, send me a PM and I will put you in touch with the organisers. You're right that the drivers are friendly, and most will help you out if you have a problem.

There's also a website (www.classicf3.co.uk) but some of the info is a bit out of date - that might include the contact details unfortunately!
