Unfortunately memories are all too short, soon, could even be as soon as Spa if it is quick, we will all forget Courage and hail Oreca. Remember Lotus?

During the LMS race? The car finished third.

They've been testing mostly at HTTT and Magny-Cours (?), unless they stayed in Barcelona after the LMS race...

I agree. I wish they had kept the Courage-Oreca name.

Acura, Wirth, and HPD started with the Courage LC75 in testing in 2006.

Mansell, Prost and Panis

When's the last time Mansell raced?
Wikipedia says he raced a Ferrari in FIAGT in 2007 with Chris Niarchos and tested Chamberlain-Synergy Lola prototype with his son in 2008 and said they'd probably team up to race later that year, which didn't happen).

So I guess both cars will be for sale, following Oreca's new strategy for 2010-2011+

In an interview after the deal with Peugeot, de Chaunac said he's still trying to run the 01 protos in 2010 but me guess it would be with another team(Signature Plus??)

Dont like that idea - the cars are good so run them.
Maybe Pug wants to use a spyder 2011 and will just use Oreca chassis?

That's kind of what I´m expecting. I guess Peugeot is trying to lower costs and this would make sense.

Oreca seems to have a good chassis department, the 01 looked like a very advanced concept that was just let down by a poor engine. So that would make sense I guess...

Hmmm. I wonder if a Pug diesel would fit into that barchetta chassis? How much work would it take to rebalance it properly?
Could be a good chance to check out coupe v open body options...

The 2011 rules call for a max of 8 cylinders, for both petrol and diesel. Why waste the money for a single year?

Looks like and Oreca to me, not Acura, Porsche, or Puegoet. That's like saying sportscars all have sleek aerodynamic bodies so they must all just be copying eahother.

As Dunlop is pretty unlikely to have a tire to cope with the diesels torque, im pretty sure it will stay on the ideal diesel tire: Michelin.
Ei, running 2 different tire manufactures.
