This is the problem ive got with the topic; its been posed which we rather: technical or natural, black or white. Yet almost everyone has come forward with their favourite shade of grey.

If the topic is so grey then please list the natural drivers.

My qualm is not with the topic itself, just with all the responses pointing to a mixed driver being the best compromise. It doesnt take Shirlock Holmes to realise that, but i read the topic being moreso directed towards 2 different styles of drivers of which theyre dominated by either natural talent or technical skill.

How about rating the drivers in both Natural/Technical competency from 5 (low) to 1 (high). That might help with the greyness?

Used Car should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I am going to drive at Bathurst some day.

I have no technical skill.

But I have a strong desire, and a string of broken road cars to show that I have a total lack of fear.

Money is a problem. But when isnt it?

So who in Murphy's case do you blame. It is over half way through the year and Murphy does not seem to have made any progress with his car. Who do i get rid of, Murphy or his engineer?

Murph is an IMMENSE natural talent, based on his previous achievements, I'd say Murph is not at fault this year. it must be car/engine/engineer.

My votes.. Based on guys I've worked with.

Simonsen, best natural and all round driver...

John Bowe, best technical driver.
Paul Morris, .. great natural driver(yes, really)
Brad Jones, excellent technical, not as good as Bowe though
Bairdo,... 2nd best natural, very close to Simonsen and utterly fuss free.
McConville, 2nd best technical
Mark Noske, Good all rounder. Very employable!
Christian Jones, Good technical, natural lacking.
Melinda Price... errr, natural?

well if you look at the other side of the Tasman garage you'll see Jason Richards hasn't made to much on the progress side of things either, maybe it isn't driver, it might be the car the team have produced.

There are a fair few well credentialled people at Tasman. Do you reckon they have lost their way.

it's almost the old HRT put back together,Harrop, Storey and Grech, all well credentialled, maybe you can't teach an old dog new tricks but i doubt that, but what is the problem both drivers and the team havn't made progress in 2007, maybe it is a budget problem, sponsers needed not just for a round or 2.
